Females' induction in ISI???

I want to ask "are females also selected for the jobs of AD ISI or not?" As far as my knowledge is concerned, females are allowed to appear in the test but they are rejected in interview for one or another reason. (simply because they dont need the services of women).

Does anybody know the issue?? Does anybody know of any female ever selected as AD ISI?

Well as far as i know females are selected for the job of Asst.Director IsI and there is no discrimination in the process. As far as the dropping ratio of females is concerned , i think the nature of the jobb is the main reason. Intelligence gathering is cheifly a field job and males are most suited for this job. But i have heard of females who were inducted as Asst.Director ISI.

Apart from open merit they have 10% reserved quota for females as well. So no one can reject you as far as reserved seats are concerned.

Secondly females induction was an issue some 6 to 8 years back. The main reason was not as such their suitability but the working environment. There was a time when a number of females resigned pointing out particular problems relating to the working culture. Then there were suggestions to stop hiring females at all. But afterwards the problem was handled the other way round. :clap Things changed as the overall culuture changed with increased proportion of females.

As per the reports, in past years the number of females has dramatically increased. They further say that now very well qualified ladies are joining agencies.

You can find a whole lot of them as far as main offices are concerned. However at present they are not posted at small stations. This is good since once someone has joined, she won't have to worry about postings. If someone is hired say for Isb center she will probably stay there through out her job.

Graduation is the requirement. No min marks/percentage/division was mentioned in advertisement.

what is the nature of the job of AD ISI as far as female candidate concerned?
Does ISI provide training to qualified AD (physical and theoretical)?

I am really interested but my family has reservations.......
