Dear forum members. I need guidance in connection to the application of the post advertised and mentioned above.

The FPSC has asked candidates that I submit a physical fitness certificate. I do not know what this is and where I can acquire the same from. Please guide me about the same.

These are the exact words written on the online job description/application form for the post.

Candidates are advised to submit their physical fitness certificate of prescribed standard issued by a registered Medical Practitioner with application form.


I already missed an earlier opportunity to appear for the tests for the same post due to ignorance about the same issue and don't want to suffer again. Kindly exercise exigency for this brother of yours.

Go to any Medical Practitioner and get it filled plus stamped by him, attach it with your application and your application is ready. Best of luck this time.

and it'd be better if you print the same format shared by abro, on the letter head of any registered medical practitioner and then sign by that practitioner.(i called FPSC office and they assist me)

what if you print it out on a simple A4 paper and registered medical practitioner signed and stamper it would that be acceptable anybody done that ???????

Dear All Friends

Please guide me that after selection what type of training will be provided to selected candidates and chances of posting will be given to nearest station of domicile and how much duration of training????????

Some friends has informed me that this is security type of job and we have to monitor security....

Waiting for cooperation in this regard very soon..

1. Training is 5-6 months, in Karachi ASF Academy.

2. Includes weapons, patrolling, guarding sensitive installations. Some trainers are ex-army and others are ASF staff.

3. Duty is very tough, long and odd hours.

4. Many people leave after joining when they realize point 3.

5. A common misconception is that people who join do so for the wrong reasons. They think that they will be able to switch over to Police or Rangers. This is not the case and when they find out this fact, they don't want to continue.

6. Its not like police, and you don't have authority over public, if that is the reason of anyone joining then think again.
