Since you are currently serving in ASF can you please clear some questions regarding the job. Why do some forum members say that it is good for the jobless only. Is it so bad? Secondly, is there any chance of receiving an official residence and vehicle at any stage of service later on? Koi tehka hai is job ka, specially at DAD or AD level?

Most of the times higher qualification gives you advanrage. So if you can complete your degree before the start of training(oct-nov) then mention it otherwise not.


Well it depends on thinking of person;
most people consider slow permotions a big disadvantage such that an inspector is promoted to dy.ad after aprox 10 years so after 10 years he is promoted from 16 to 16 scale. Its like a joke. But I personelly think in otherway if he is compitative enough, he can take direct appointment from FPSC.
Some other disadvantages are high displine, strict check and balance hence minimum,if not zero, courruption and odd duty hours.

Frankly speaking I dont have any issue with these problems because I felt if you follow the rules then life in Asf is very enjoyable.
Most important is respect which you can get from society as well as from your subordinates. Salaries are reasonable and restructuring is in process.

In any force enjoyable life starts from bps 17 same is the case here in asf.Pick and drop, buttman and hiring facilities are given to ADs.

Any idea for announcement of result.. I am Tired of asking the same question again and again.. Dear Ammar can your sources of FPSC tell us about the date of result?

ammar are you sure that fpsc do not call those candidates for medical certificate who have not qualified the test? do you know some one who have been called by fpsc (for submision of medical certificate) but later on not called for interview? what was your case, had you not submitted your medical along with the documents when you were applying? and last, are you sure d.ad will be promoted to grade-17?

yes 100% you will called for interview. they only call short listed candidates

There's little or no chance of Dy. AD being given grade 17, because in all other govt. departments, Assistant Director is at grade 17. If Dy. AD is given grade 17, then Assistant Director will have to be given grade 18, which will create a wide disparity between ASF and other departments of the federal govt.

By hiring facilities it means housing facilities and buttman means personal guard right? What about official car (If not to ADs then is it given to DDs)? Isn't pick and drop given to DADs?

As for as my status is concerned; its same as yours.

Well there is purposal that post of dy.ad will be finished and all dy.ads will be given status of AD and hence 17 scale; ADs will be promoted as Dy.Direcotors and another post of Adational directors will be created for dy.D.
D.G will be major general.
This is complete restructing bill which has been passed from sanates standing committee of defence and is in establishment division in these days for notification. Now let see when notification is circulated.
