An open letter to the Ministry of Defence

SUBJECT: ANOMALIES IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE RECRUITMENT TEST PROCESS

Respected Sir,

I hereby write to you apropos the test conducted by National Testing Services (NTS) for the position of Assistant Director (BS17) and Office Cadre in March 2014. Recently, NTS announced the result of test, whereby the candidates were only informed of their status as pass or fail. For a serious candidate non-disclosure of marks and non-entitlement to challenge the marking process marks serious disappointment and raises doubts over the credibility, merit and transparency of such examinations. NTS charged Rupees 900 as testing fee which is very high considering Pakistan’s poverty situation; yet, the candidates apply for such examinations as they expect a fair chance in a competitive process.

I hereby request the authorities concerned to take immediate notice of the anomalies in the Ministry of Defence recruitment process and instruct NTS to display marks obtained by the failed candidates on their website. Additionally, the MOD is requested to instruct the NTS to apprise candidates about the methodology adopted for checking of descriptive paper. The incumbent Government stresses prevalence of merit in every domain and therefore, I have written to your excellence with high expectations. I hope to receive a positive feedback in this regard.

You can print it out with your real name, address & valid signatures along with copy of CNIC and dispatch the same to Ministry so that it can find some place in Files of the government.

Mr. tabraiz you failed the test thats why u using these words. if you were passed than story would be different. So keep calm and start preparation for some other test.

[B]Dear friends, we can only make efforts and voice our genuine concerns irrespective of the result... Isn't that what all of us do when we prepare for any competitive examination? So, here's an effort on my part... I believe that my concerns are valid and if the authorities consider this, it will only improve the system and make it more transparent...

p.s- no where have i mentioned that those who qualified are non-worthy or ineligible. My concern is with those who did not qualify and deserve more than mere formality for a result.[/B]

The way the result has been announced is very suspicious. I have talked to NTS. They say that they can allow re-checking of only those test which are their own like NAT, GAT etc etc. Whereas this Test is not owned by NTS rather it is client based and the client is MoD which has not allowed them to let the students re-check their result.

I have talked in detail and told him that Punjab Educators offerred 30000 vacancies of Educators and test was conducted by NTS and all the candidates were allowed to get their result re-checked. In this case it was also a client based test but re-checking was allowed and on this analogy why not now????


All this puts huge question mark on the credibility of the test. It is all messed up and the result and the people associated with it are so sacred that no question may be raised no matter if you are a poor fellow and you did a very good test and you prepared for it by burning the mid night oil. They do not want us.

Miss Amna. It depends up on the efforts and your luck. Almighty Allah make us all successful in this life and the life after death.
I belong to a village and also appeared in the test. Alhamdo Lillah i have Qualified for the next stage. I try my level best and left the results on the Will of Almighty Allah. I m nothing but he made me successful. Please trust in Allah. What he does is always best.

All you need to assess yourself and your weaknesses whether to criticize. This is not the end. A lot to come yet. Just do Strategical preparations. Use tips and tricks that how to pass such tests. Do hard work in tactical way. All passed candidates are not sons of Ministers, Politicians, Bureaucrats or Generals. Most of them have long struggle to reach in this stage. I myself processed through at least 35 tests in last 2 and half years, the i was able to get a job three in process, one test qualified and appeared in 3 Interviews.

Don't be so hopeless. If you have no connections with the power echelons or no money to pay for the posts then your only available option is to work hard. Eventually your hard-work and perseverance will pay off.

P.S: When you get selected then never forget your sufferings and try your utmost to preserve and promote merit.

Good Effort it is everyone right to know his/her marks. I belong to a remote area and have no connection with the power and by the grace of ALLAH I have qualified both AD and Staff Grade.
So trust in God and don't lose hope.
