An AD (Assistant Director) candidate I know has been approached by Police on his permanent address for security clearance. I am asking you people as if you have had such experience lately. Please reply, so that many AD candidates can know what's happening.

Security clearance is short process of fulfilling the concerned form having details about candidates' permanent residence, character evaluation, criminal background, and overall living environment. Its time span depends on the local Station House of Police.

Are security clearance started or not for AD candidates ?

Yes Police SHO of local thana visited the AD (Assistant Director) candidate permanent address & verified from the candidate information in SV forms. Also inquired from the neighbourhood about the candidate before he submitted the data back to the concerned authority. Any other AD candidate who has had such experience please post your status here. It will be a lot of help and finish the usless wait for this job. Thanks.

And what about you globe, did you experience secuiry clearance?

Other AD candidates please tell your status on Security Clearance. How many of the other candidates have been approached by Police? ( This comment is not for staff candidates, please don't post in this thread, to tell how you have been through the process).

The candidate belongs to which province?

He is from Punjab province. His permenant adress was in Kharian, however he lives in lives in Lahore. Police visited his permenant adress being directed by the Competant authority to verify details and neighbourhood......Anyone else going through this process please reply.

It is not necessary that some one must visit candidate's home for security clearance. As it is done through multiple security agencies i.e. IB, FIA, ISI it self, etc. And mostly the security forms given to IB are forwarded to local police station for checking of criminal record but they are not directed to visit candidates home, which they do for their own ease or benefit like mithai etc.
So be relaxed if some security official is not visiting your home, and hope for the best.
