I do not think there is objective part in PMS optional subjects. Just go through past papers to havr an idea.

I am consulting Ikram Rabbani book for Pak Studies and i have found this book comprehensive and well-written. For MCQs for Pak Study i would suggestt you not to rely on one book.

Sir please have a look on my subject combination. I have a background of all except Pol.Science but i am studying IR.
1- Public Add
2- Sociology Or Social Work
3- Pol.Science OR Mass Com.
Thanks.

All these subjects are safe in my humble opinion. These are general subjects and having backgroud of these subjects is not a prerequisite.

If we judge this combination on the basis of scoring trend, l would say only Mass Com is a good choice. Social work was scoring in 2011 but it did not proved fruitful for 2014 aspirants.
I have no idea about education as very few candidates opt this subject.

Dear, i would not say you cannot score good in Law but the syllabus is too lengthy to cover if you are starting from scratch. See, the myth behind scoring and not-scoring is that if, luckily, you score good in optional subjects there is a fair chance of getting allocation. Now see LAW from the prism of scorig-trend and our initial understanding would suggest that you have to score equally high in all three optional subjects. What is the use of scoring 140,150 in one subject and then under performing in other two? But if you select safe subject with relatively short syllabus you would be in a better posistion to score good in written part.
So i would not recommend law. But at the same time i would not discourage you if you have prior exposure to these subjects - like if you are in practice.

That depends on the depth of knowledge you have in History. Infact, that goes for every subject. I preffer Mass Comm because i have studied it as a course subject and i have been a newpaper reader for quite some time. I think i posses the intellectual and analytical reasoning that this subject demands. If History suits your interest then go for it.
