Not a senior but word limit for Urdu essay is 1000 words.

syllabus of udru compulsory is not described in a clear way as it should be...folks plz share your understanding bcz i only get the vivid idea of only essay of 1000 words nothing else :glare:

may be explanation of poetry and letter/application(not mentioned in syllabus 2016)

And Translation.

On the other hand, 1000 word essay is mentioned in the course outline, which means 1hr 20 or 1hr 30 minutes (English essay of 1500 words takes 2hrs) will be spent on essay only. It is impossible to accommodate Precis, Poetry, translation, idioms & letter/application in 1.5 hours. Lets see kal kia gul khilay ga.

Hope for the best. Insha Allah paper would not be tough.

My guess is that paper will be like this:

1. Essay 50
2. Precis 20/15
3. Idioms 15
4. Translation 15/20

essay can never be of 50 marks as far as I guess. I think previous paper pattern would be followed. :(

I too am not a senior. But I believe there will be an essay from either Media or Economics (zara-i-iblagh, to be specific). Just a wild guess. Anyhow, given today's paper, one should expect anything, even translation of Robert frost's poetry :bow
