A good news is that we have a precedent in the history. There were some wrong questions in PMS-2015 so people pressed the commission and as a result additional marks were added in the marks obtained.
Here is the draft of the email you are all clamouring about.
Please, make the necessary changes such as adding the lacking information including the right answers or the other pointing out other mistakes which are not accounted for in this draft.
Now, Spread this as much as you can and ask all of your colleagues to email this with their own candidature details, name and signature.

Draft

I, XYZ bearing candidature under roll no. XXXX for the recruitment to the posts of Competitive Examination-2019, regret to inform you that there were several mistakes in the paper of "General Knowledge (Objective)" held on 12th of April, 2019, for the recruitment to the posts of Combined Competitive Examination-2019.
On the part of the commission, it is expected that all the papers, subjective in general and the objective in particular should be error free, so that, the candidate can attempt/answer the questions asked in the best possible manner.

However, there were some serious mistakes in the paper of "General Knowledge (Objective)" which left the candidates unable to mark the right option for several questions.

The following major mistakes are pointed out.

1In the question which asked,"What percentage of the Brain is Water?" the right answer i.e 73% was not given in the options. The options were: i) 60 ii) 70
iii) 80 and iv) 90.

2In the question which asked, " ...Yeast Produces? ", the right option i.e Carbon dioxide was not given rather "Carbon" was given as fourth option along with
three other which were all wrong.

3In the question which asked, "What is the speed of sound in air at a certain temperature..?", the right option was missing i.e. 1234.8 km at 20 degree
centigrade and 1245.6 at 25 degree centigrade.

4In another question which asked, " Who spotted the sunspots first?" the right option "Galileo Galilei" was not given in the available options to choose from.
5In the question which asked, " Atmosphere is divided in how many layers?" the most suitable option i.e. 5 layers was not given rather available options were;
i) 4, ii) 6, iii) 8, and, iv) 10.

6In the question which asked, "The literacy rate of western/christian world is 90%, what is the literacy rate of Muslim world." the right option was missing
rather the option given were; i) 50% ii) 60% iii) 80% and, iv) 90%.
7In the question which asked, "CD (compact disk) can store data upto?", the right option i.e. 700 megabyte was not given.

8In the question which asked, "Rain is measured with?", the right option which is "Rain Gauge" was not given. and;
9In the question which asked "Temperature at which the bacteria dies", the right option from the available options to choose from was missing.

These mistakes, in a paper which recruits for one of the most prestigious services of the country, raise serious question about the competency of the commission.

In a paper which keenly assesses the knowledge of the subject, conceptual understanding, and memory and retention power of the candidates any such mistake equates to restricting the candidate from answering freely and fairly.
The principle of fair assessment and suitable choice was compromised.

It is, therefore, requested that please look into the matter and devise an adequate response to address the grievances of thousands of candidates. One such measure could be granting the grace marks against the wrong questions to all the candidates as their ability to mark the right answer was compromised and they were unable to choose the right answer to score.

I understand that the questions pointed out above are neither in their true form nor in the actual sequence in which these appeared and numbered on the paper. It is so, because of the fact that I have to recall all of the details from my active memory and i was not possessing the actual question paper.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Best Regards,
I sent an email to the commission and reported the matter on Prime Minister complain cell as well.
Everyone must take out ten minutes and do the same . A Zee you are right that one or two emails won't serve the purpose. please, please all aspirants are requested to file a complaint as each mark can decide your success or failure in this paper.
I have sent the email. Do we need to file a complaint on Citizens portal as well? Or we go straight to the High Court?
yes, file a complaint there as well and then choose to go to High Court .

ANNNA Saturday, April 13, 2019 02:08 PM

I propose this.

I propose that since a huge number of the candidates are not on this forum and we are just a few who are pressing this issue with genuine rationale and we are aware that the sentiment is popular among all the victims of this inefficiency on the part of the commission. Now, in order to add more strength to our demand and make it popular we must ask all of the candidates to throw an email and launch a formal complaint with the PPSC. One possible way of enacting this is by launching a complaint with the PPSC representative at the Examination Hall by handing down the hard copy of the application, with necessary modification, to them. Besides this, we all can make the other candidate aware of this inadequacy and ask them to complain. This can be done on the premises of the our respective Examination Centers by disseminating the hard copies of this application (written above in this thread) among the students.

Remember this, if the aim of the paper is to assess the ability of the candidates then it should be assessed on fair basis not with the inadequate choices which leave the candidates unable to mark the right answer.
Having said that, I can guarantee you all that a relaxation of mere 3-4 marks can help most of us to sail through quite easily. The net impact of this relaxation would be about an addition of Five marks in the final score of all of us.

May the odds be ever in your favour.

Happy Rolling!

Farhanjamil Saturday, April 13, 2019 02:29 PM

Subject : GK paper PMS-2019

Respected Sir,

This is to brought into your kind knowledge that in GK paper PMS-2019, a number of mistakes either in question statement or in its given answers have been noted. For example ,rainfall measuring instrument is RAIN GAUGE , and options given for this were pedometer, hydrometer, barometer and hygrometer.
There was no option of RAIN GAGUE.
In another question speed of sound (KM/H) in air was asked which is 1234km/h. But correct option was not given. Another question was about CD's storage capacity of which there was no right option. Another question was about basic data structure in computer of which all the options were right. Moreover, there was a question about Pakistan's GDP growth rate in 2018 according to World Bank. Problem was that World Bank had published more than one reports in 2018 namely January--- 6% GDP growth rate, June-July--- 5%- 5.4% GDP growth rate, October --- 4.8% GDP growth rate, January 2019 it was 4%. All the reports had different figures and data.Similarly, the question regarding Taj Mahal may too have many answers because it was not constructed in one year.

Therefore, in the light of above grave mistakes in a paper of such a prestigious institution your are requested to look into the matter and order an overall assessment of the question paper so that the hopes of hardworking aspirants be met.

To,
The Deputy Secretary,
PPSC, Lahore.

Respected Sir,

I, NAME, bearing candidature under roll no. XXXX for the recruitment to the post (s) of Competitive Examination-2019, regret to inform you that there were several mistakes in the paper of "General Knowledge (Objective)" held on 12th of April, 2019, for the recruitment to the post (s) of Combined Competitive Examination-2019.

On the part of the commission, it is expected that all the papers, subjective in general and objective in particular should be error free, so that, the candidate can understand the question without any ambiguity and attempt/answer the questions asked in the best possible manner to score credit.

There were, however, some serious mistakes with respect to available answer choices to choose from in the paper of "General Knowledge (Objective)" and consequently the candidates were unable to mark the right option for several questions.

The following major mistakes are pointed out.
In the question which asked,"What percentage of the Brain is Water?" the right answer i.e 73% was not given in the answer options. The answer options were: i) 60 ii) 70 iii) 80 and iv) 90.
In the question which asked, " ...Yeast produces? ", the right option i.e Carbon dioxide was not given rather "Carbon", a wrong choice, was given as fourth option along with three other which were all wrong.
In the question which asked, "What is the speed of sound in air at a certain temperature..?", the right option was missing i.e. 1234.8 km/h at 20°C and 1245.6 at 25°C. .
In the question which asked, "Atmosphere is divided in how many layers?" the most suitable option i.e. 5 layers was not given rather available options were; i) 4, ii) 6, iii) 8, and, iv) 10.
In the question which asked, "CD (compact disk) can store data upto?", the right answer choice i.e. 700 megabyte was not given.
In the question which asked, " Rain is measured with?", the right option which is "Rain Gauge" was not given, rather the answer options were; i) Hygrometer ii) Pedometer iii) Barometer iv) Hydrometer.
In the question which asked "Temperature at which the bacteria dies", the right option from the available options to choose from was missing.
Besides these mistakes the question about "Growth rate of Pakistan as per the report of World Bank" does not specify the publication. Infact, a number of publication by World Bank state varying growth rates. Similarly, the question statement of the question which asked about "Endoplasmic reticulum" was ambiguous as more than one options were right with mere a different interpretation of the statement.
In another question which asked, "The literacy rate of western/christian world is 90%, what is the literacy rate of Muslim world." more than one options were right depending upon the interpretation of the question. The given choices were not adequate. Various sources have listed varying literacy rate of the muslim world, however, the question did not specify any such source. The option given were; i) 50% ii) 60% iii) 80% and, iv) 90%.
These mistakes, in a paper which assesses the recruits for one of the most prestigious services of the country, raise serious question about the competency of the commission and concerned authorities.

The paper of General Knowledge keenly assesses the knowledge of the subject, conceptual understanding of the subject, intellectual competency, memory and retention power of the candidates. Any such mistake equates to restricting the candidates to answer in a free and fair manner. In a paper like this, minute details like, water content in brain i.e. 73%, are of much value as these are the very points which make the difference. But unfortunately, these minute details were all together ignored in the answer choices.

The principles of fair assessment and suitable choice, two bedrocks of the academic assessment, were compromised.

It is, therefore, requested that please look into the matter and take adequate measures to address the grievances of tens of thousands of candidates so that their aspirations may not be discouraged. One such measure could be awarding the grace marks against the wrong questions choices to all the candidates as their ability to mark the right answer was restricted and they were unable to choose the right answer to score credit.

The commission has also set a precedent with respect to the addresal of such grievances. In 2015 this commission has awarded marks against the inadequate answer choice (s) to the candidates as there were few such mistake (s) in the paper of "General Knowledge (Objective)" held on December 29, 2015.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Okay now we have all 100 MCQ's.
I am sure it is Selenium but that MCQ can also be put in list of confusing MCQ's since effects of Magnesium are also being studied with relation to this Vitamin.
About Uch, this is also confusing. Uch or Uch Sharif is a city in Southern Punjab but Uch power plant is located in Balochistan.
