Please reccomend us *Books, *Downloads, and *Everything here whatever you think is better for the examination. Don't try to SPAM or waist meterial to this thread.

for preparation 1st thing is to take previous papers if available and then extract what is the pattern of the paper .as far as the the line given in advertisement "A MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) written test of two hours duration of intermediate standard including General Knowledge (comprising questions on Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, Basic Mathematics, Everyday Science) and knowledge of Urdu and English languages" you can better cover the pakistan affairs by ch.ahmad najeeb's book and surely in islamiat they will not go out of imtiaz shahid and attia bano's book of islamiat objective type....in urdu portion they will ask some general question and few terms.English you can't prepare by any book except idioms rest synonyms and antonyms don't have a particular book to prepare..in above mentioned books you need not to memorize all portions geography and chronicle at the end of the book will be sufficient to cover the pak study portion in the paper..

Hey, I got Caravan ASI Guide by Ch. Ahmad Najib was recommended here by senior members. It was available in my city Pakpattan, but against 360 Rs./- only. . The lable price was 400 Rs./- and my friend told me the relax on price is 60% and shopkeepers are making their good season as well. This is not fair dudes! May I complaint agaist them anywhere? Anyhow, I purchased and strated preparation for my written test. I think this is also good for interview becouse it satisfies me and has unlimited worked pages.

Jahangeer Series was also recommend for ASI written test but it is no available in my city this time. May I able to get it after 5 days.

u hv to focus on each n every sub as mentioned in syllabus....negative marking is there ..on every wrong answer 0.25 marks wil be deducted ..u shud cover general knowledge/current affair ....read carefully n then attempt...gud luck..!!

Only Inspector are posted as SHO according to strict instructions issued by the Inspector General of Police Punjab. Only in case of shortage of IPs, SI can be posted till the arrival of IP.

An officer of the Rank of SP can also be appointed as DPO.

The short form of Additional Inspector General of Police is "Addl:IGP"
"AIG" is Assistant Inspector General of Police, a police officer of the rank of SP/SSP. Just like "ADIG" (Assitant DIG), a police officer of the rank of DSP.

hmmm....in lhr SI r serving as SHO...there is no bar regarding the appointmet of SI as SHO...directions r given but still umiplemented coz of police officers sources/political pressure etc

according to Police order 2002 DPO must not be below the rank of SSP ...may b a SP rank officer is serving as DPO in a district ....it is an exceptional case n illegality as well

yep Assitant insptr genrl of police r too named as AIG which r usually rank of SSP....i read both terms Adl IG n AIG for additional inspctr of generl of police....!!

We are not discussing implementation of rules; that is anothe issue.
Not only in Lahore, in every Region/District, some SIs are serving as SHO.
Posting of SP as DPO is not exceptional nor rare. In many Districts, SP is posted as DPO. In Bahawalpur Region, all the three DPOs were SsP. They kept serving as DPO for months, and now they have been promoted as SSP.
You might have read both terms, but usually the people of other departments dont know the difference and read AIG as Addl: IGP, which is incorrect. Compare ASP and Addl: SP, ADIG, etc.
