Recieved an sms from finance dep. stating that an offer letter has been posted to my postl address and will have to give acceptance within 7 days.

Received a call (042-99211409) confirming the issuance of appointment letter today. If not received in three working day, we are advised to contact the Finance Department.

Offer letter typically means "Government of Punjab Finance Department is offering you the position of Deputy District Accounts Officer/Deputy Treasury Officer with certain terms and conditions, you have to read and understand the terms and conditions and undersign the letter". Once you have signed the letter and submitted the acceptance letter, it explicitly means that you agree with the terms and conditions and accept the offer of Government of Punjab. Finally it means you got appointed as Deputy District Accounts Officer/Deputy Treasury Officer, after some formalities i.e Medical Examination and Degree Verification etc.
