Post 1:30 Ratio Written Test Formula of PPSC

Dear All,

Punjab Public Service Commission has announced in today's Jung 15 December, 2013 that in future 30 candidates will be shortlisted against 1 seat. Following coming exams will also be conducted on said pattern:

122 posts of Headmistress
154 posts of Headmistress
162 posts of Excise & Taxation Inspectors
2 posts of Astt. Director Admin
11 posts of District Officer Civil Defence
16 posts of Astt. Director Population Welfare
58 posts of Astt. Director Land Record

This new mechanism has created a new tension among applicants. Many candidates would not even be able to sit in the exams.

Please comment on it.

I don't know what PPSC chairman's logic is behind this rule its just disgusting they did not take any step to improve their working either conceive a unique rule to shortlist lesser number of candidates hats off PPSC

very cruel policy by PPSC, this will ruin the future of aspirants, if one due to some reasons can't perform well in his/her acadamic but now in a position to perform well but through thic policy PPSC will deprive him/her this opportunity by shortlisting on the base of acadamic. PPSC should revise it's decision

Default seems no logic

i would say that ppsc has taken a wrong step whic makes no sense at all. If candidates are short listed on academic basis ,there will be a sheer difference in marks of candidates having bachlor or master degree on annual system and smester system. Similarly those who are preparing for these exams from a long time will be out of game. PPSC's decision makers should have analyesed literacy rate, unemployment and standard of education alongwith opprotunities available in province. Yet we have not reached at standard of eqaul opprotunities. Moreover, it is also not fit with the concept of human rights. How you can take a decision related with so many people without taking ground realities in consideration. PPSC is already giving weightage to academic marks in interview so why now? If there is any problem regarding centers arrangement it should be settled otherwise not on the cost of playing havoc with the future of candidates. Revenue collected through applicants fees should be utilized for capacity building.

Strongly agreed to u. Equal opportunity is the fundamental right of every Pakistani. I think many writs / petitions will be filed against this decision and PPSC has either to take his decision back or candidates would have to wait long for written exams. As per sources more than 50,000 candidates applied for Astt. Dir. Land Record Exam. In this new scenario only top 1740 candidates would be shortlisted for written test and many among them even would not sit in the exam thus narrowing the workload on PPSC and also the competition.

this is no criteria at all. Every body should be allowed to sit in exam. Yes if ppsc is looking to avoid irrelevant applications, there should be scrutiny of applications. But a country where thre is no uniform education system, there should be equal opprotunities at least at state level. We must write to human rights cell in supereme court as well petition in high court.

unemployment is mounting day by day e.g 50,000 applied for 58 seats have masters degree in specific discilplines, rather than utilizing this talent for constructive purposes govt. is introducing these kind of policies

Its totally social unjustice with candidates. In semester system candidates have excellent cgpa and percentage but in annual system mostly candidates are unable to get 60% marks.friends its total social unjustice.kindly wake up and put your efforts against ppsc. Thats totally unfair and unacceptable.
ALLAH PAK KHAIR kary humary and give them a ability to think fairly about our policy makers.
