AOA,

I am planning to do my CPE(common professional examination)from UK.After doing this one is eligible to do LLM.I just want to confirm that would i be able to be a member of Lahore High Court Bar?
CPE is considered a substitute of LLB for the people who have already done their first degree in a subject other than law.

@ Ridayay Fatima

I do not think by qualifying CPE you would enable yourself to get enrolled on High Court Bar. Although CPE is substitute for LLB, but here one must go to get a licence of lower court and after two years practice make it possible, getting the membership of High Court Bar.
On the other hand if you able yourself to get the LLM or Bar at Law degree, there could be a much possibility of obtaining the membership of High Court.

A practising lawyer can be a judge of High Court or Supreme Court. A lawyer must have 10 years experience as an advocate of high court to become a judge of high court. Similarly, 15 years experience of high court is required to be the judge of supreme court. A judge, who has 5 year experience as a judge of high court, is qualified to be the judge of supreme court.
For further details, read article 177(in case of SC) and article 193(in case of HC) of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

what are physical requirments for becoming civil judge?

if someone is suffering from paraplegia due to some accidents
(Like LEGS paralysis ,not mental disorder or intellectual lacking) so the terms ll allow that person?

I dont think that if a person is mentally fit and can perform all the work required by a judge, can be disqualified on mere pysicle issue. Actually in Judiciary person's intellect to do justice is required and not his physicle appearance, it may be required in other fields but I think not much in judiciary. Thants my opinion.
Any well informed member may add something.
