You must have grip on English Grammar. Moreover, I had last question paper for the post of Assistant but that is misplaced, I'll search it and upload it within few days INSHALLAH.
I repeat that you can be posed anywhere in Punjab. I am serving in Lahore now.
I am not from Sargodha, but I know there are many Perhar families in Sargodha.

They check your English speaking, your confidence, your dressing etc. Mostly in interview they ask to write an application, letter or any other draft. And they may ask to translate any paragraph as well even in the interview.

I think commission will call you for written test after six months. the result comes within minimum three months, then interviews are called within fifteen days. After wards the final result is announced. Then the selected candidates have to report at IG Office/ Central Police Office at Lahore. From where they get medical letters. After your medical tests at Services Hospital, the medically fit candidates submit their joining with medical reports at IG punjab's office. Then they are called on a date in which there is a welcome speech by AIG/Admin, who makes the postings of the appointees to different regions/ formations/ branches etc. Complete process may take more than a year.

The police are persons empowered to enforce the law, protect property and reduce civil disorder. Their powers include the legitimized use of force. During the Mughal era, Zamindars were responsible (amongst other things) for law enforcement. The British administration relieved the Zamindars of their responsibility for the police service and introduced magistrates with daroghas and other subordinate officers for police purposes. After the Police commission of 1860, the police Act of 1861 was adopted. The modern setup of police is structured on the basis of police rules 1934 and latest by police order 2002,
In Pakistan, the four provinces and the Islamabad capital territory, each have their own police force. In these law enforcement agencies, Punjab police is leading the rest with highest numbers of personnels.
in Pakistan, a police department is headed by an IGP (inspector General of Police) followed by a chain of command of officers like Addl: IGPs, DIGs, SSPs, SPs, ASPs/DSPs , Inspector, Sub Inspector ,ASIs, Head Constables and Constables which are considered as a force of Police Department. The senior officers from SP to IGP are assisted by the members of Ministerial Staff who look after the official working of the department.
The responsibilities which lie on the shoulders of Police officers include the maintenance of law& order, security to the people, to counter terrorism and further more they are facing many modern challenges and are expected to be public friendly.
A police man has to carry on all the responsibilities which make his life very tough. He Performs his duties in extreme climate conditions. He performs night duties, and is also called for additional duties in odd timings and at odd places as well. The life of a police men is always hanging and oscilating between powerful grips of judiciary, criticizing media, democratic public and under the pressure of political leaders.
When a police man tries to fulfill his official duties, he misses his domestic responsibilities. There is nowhere any escape for him. His family always object him that he does not give proper time to his family.
A police man as a social person is also miserable. Society always watch him with negative perception. if he or his family purchases any costly thing, then it is said that he had done corruption to manage it. If he tries to work on merit, then he has to face pressure from higher authorities as well as political pressure.
But to make the system of police better than what it is now. Some suggestions are given below.
I. A system of pure selection procedure, free of political pressure should be adopted.
II. Training system should be improved and police should be trained as Army.
III. Police should be equipped with modern technologies.
IV. The system should be computerized and even the computerization of police stations should be conducted gradually.
V. Separate courts regarding service matters should be established just as army martial courts to make the system more disciplined.
VI. Community policing system should be promoted.
VII. Media should be given the responsibility to improve the image of police in the eyes of public.
VIII. System of 8hours duty shifts should be introduced and police personnels should not be compelled to perform duties more then 8hours. So that every police officer may perform duties with sound mind and freshness
IX. Promotion should be given on the basis of performance.
