i opted punjabi in css 2012 n found it the most comforting subject.infact,in the poetry section, which is perhaps most taxing n vexing part of punjabi,i skipped classical n dastani poetry n went ahead with new poetry n lok geet only.while this strategy proved paying in css,it does not seem to be feasible in pms where 70 marks have been specified for classical[bullahy shah, sultan bahu etc] n dastani poetry[heer ranja etc].i have opted punjbi 4 pms n nw when i have started studying the above said parts of poetry,i hv been taken by the sheer difficulty arising from my incapability to grasp the classical poetry.cursing the time when i opted for punj

From Classical poetry you have to do just '' tashreeh''...No need to do questions from that portion..I too find classical poetry difficult to remember but I think this pattern is good...Just tashreeh from that portion nothing else.

thanx gulrukh, thanx 4 being generous enuf 2 suggest some way out.yes,i knw we have to go after tashreeh only[provided the trend does not change this time around],but how to even grasp the tashreehm a dr n the words used in classical poetry r but french to a person with no background in punjabi literature.m studying jahangir series book for pms punjabi n i thnk u will agree its of no use as far as tashreeh stuff is concerned as it does not bother to explain the verses, can u or anybody else suggest me a book 4 classical poets that helps understand them?

@ dr1hasan

Well tashreeh is quite easy...I've a book named '' Adbi Perchawien'' by Dr.Akhtar Jafri. It contains tashreeh of all sufi/classical poets..Its available in lahore. You should buy it.
