Frankly speaking one can not be sure about the verses no matter how hard one tries..if you are well prepared for the rest of subjects then go ahead..

Throughout my academic career I always fetched excellent marks in Urdu but don't know how. :P
but for verses i can surely say that one needs to understand the meaning of the verse and then translate it into the simplest possible way. For this the only thing one can do is to cram difficult words which are often used in poetry.

Actually you are focussing more on the problem than the solution. As you have already prepared optional and some compulsory subjects now you just have to prepare Urdu. Just read and write on daily basis. Even if next attempt is gonna be in July we still have enough time.

I m already preparing for css and will appear in 2017.i want to appear in pms too nd have decided to opt the same sbj like punjabi pol sc public ad anyone could help me out that is it a good strategy or not?

For education I consulted book of JWT..... But paper was more opinion based like reforms in education, teaching, and analysis of HEC etc..... I used to read dawn daily,.... That thing help me a lot to tackle opinion based questions..... I didn't find any standard book for education...... I think, one should consult any book of education for theories, and read articles related to hec and educational set up and possible reforms from dawn or any other newspaper
