Anyone can guide you only if he/she knows what problem are you facing?

i have opted punjabi for PMS,....fortunately the paper helding on 12th was cancelled......now till 18th i have time but the problem is that whenever i opened the book it starts headach............i belong to punjabi speaking family still i am facing great difficulty. i have books of jahangir's and Carvan. every one say Punjabi is much easy and to learn by heart is so easy task but what to do.......i cant learn the poetry..........every chapter contains huge bulk of poetic verses. Help me please how to prepare selective topics.....i am gold medalist but this time i am feeling Punjabi will put me down.

Don't try to memorize the poetic verses, try to understand its meanings and develop a concept. Prose is much easy, if you'll read it with little bit concentration.

No need to worry. Only memorize that much verses which you can easily hold in your brain. Try to memorize at least one small poetic verse for important points / headings of a topic. i.e. if you are preparing question on Baba Farid's poetry, you may divide the topic into 8-10 headings like:

1-namaz di ehmiat
2-akhrat di fikar
3-murshad di lor
4-aajzi tay inksaari di talqeen
5-......

Now you need to memorize one poetic verse for every heading. If you can't memorize poetic verse for every heading, try doing it for 3 to 4 headings. Or if memorizing 3-4 verses is not possible, try to memorize at least one poetic verse for each question / topic.

Even if you don't remember any one poetic verse on a topic, divide the topic into headings and write what you know under every heading.

I hope it helps.
