Question Help regarding PPSC Lecturer English Interview?
Please give some suggestions regarding Lecturer English interview?How to prepare for it and from where? Those with experience are much obliged to reply.

I recently appeared in the interview of Lecturer Pakistan Studies ( MALE) and cleared the same by the grace of Allah. From my experience, I can safely state that success in interview, specially being held at PPSC, is a combination of certain factors. And the most important among those are your confidence level /personality, dressing, basic knowledge /command over your subject way of introducing yourself etc. Even if you are unable to answer a specific question, no need to worry. Just politely apprise the panel of your inability. Never try to overact , always be yourself and be Positive . Have faith in Allah. Best of luck for your Interview!

Since minimum qualification for the post of LECTURER was Master's degree, so the panel would like to touch the course outlines / topics of Masters level. So you should have to go through both. There is a possibility that they ask you to demonstrate on a particular topic or topic of your liking, so you should prepare atleast two or three topics / theories etc upon which you can express yourself. Further as I earlier narrated, there is no need to worry at all if you find yourself unable to answer any question properly. Just be positive as attitude matters the most. Only one or two current affairs issues were asked. The latest project inaugurated by the Prime Minister? At that time PM visited Balochistan and the answer was Kachi Canal which I managed to answer. Then they asked the seaport being supported by India to counter Gawadar and CPEC? The answer was Chabahar of Iran and I apprised them the same.

How many members were there?Was there any psychological assessment? Do we have to prepare General Knowledge and Islamic Studies etc?

The interview panel comprises of three members. That is one member from PPSC and two subject specialists. Last time back in 2015 there was also a fourth member in the shape of psychologist but no such practice this time. Grip over basic general knowledge / Current Affairs / Pak Affairs / Islamic studies is a prerequisite to crack all interviews and it would be an added advantage if you manage to go through the same. How much time they (Interview Panel) spend on a candidate? I have heard that they are so rude to candidates.

It depends upon mood of panel members particularly Chairman / Member PPSC. Average duration of LECTURER interview ranges from 8 to 12 minutes. I would not call attitude of some members rude, rather they become tough at times to handle. Of course there are members who are very supportive and friendly.
