Would you put some light on the passing criteria, is it (only aggregate 100 out of total 200) or is it (aggregate 100 out of 200 along with 40% marks in each subject)?

I am all for the screening test. However, I believe that FPSC has followed footsteps of NTS in producing MCQs for the analytical ability. Those analytical reasoning questions are totally ridiculous. GRE and GMAT kind of tests have already replaced these questions with two Issue and Argument essays which have been designed to test the actual analytical skills of the test takers. So yes, I will miss those kind of essays.

Although I am a law student but I am fine with Mathematics. It will give an edge to engineers, MBAs etc, just like Everyday Science gives an edge to people with science background. I believe that Maths part wont be much scary. NTS maths is too basic and can be easily done in two weeks.

Boiling it down, this test is a blessing in disguise. Don't lose heart and chin up!

Now, appearing in the screening test will it be considered as one out of the three attempts?? What if one qualifies the screening but doesn t appear in the major written exam?

It is clearly mentioned by FPSC that "The candidates declared qualified in screening test according to the criteria given in the Rules for CSS Competitive Examination, 2014 would be eligible for written examination which will be held in February, 2014".
Rules for CE-2014 has not been issued by FPSC, so we should wait for some official info.

Information given by Last Island is always authentic, so please don't challenge her.

what is the point of maths/analytical and logical reasoning in screening test??? i mean this is going to make people insane! aik tou css ki tension oper se maths and reasoning b practice karo for no reason! serious time waste!!!!!!!

Default Css screening test!!!!!
Screening test is now a mandatory test to proceed towards written examination! Duration for applying is july 15 to august 15 of this year!!!!! So what about students who are expecting their results in aug/sep!!!!!!o_O
