In my opinion.... . Aala decision . Should have been much earlier but hopeful that future competent people will surely benefit from it.

Lots of advantages.

1. Reduced number of candidates who are best of the lot.

2. Lesser burden on examiners.

3. Quality checking. At least headings dekh ke numbers nahi laggain ge.

4. Timely declaration of written result and reduction of time span related to recruitment. At least ab 2 saal ki jagha ek saal main recruitment ho jaye gi.

Behtareen ho gaya.

One more thing they need to do is declare the number of seats before the examination is taken. Just like PMS.

Dear this post will tell you what is the purpose of this screening test.

Online registration upto : 15 aug 2013

conduct of Screening test : 15 sept 2013

Result of screening test : 1 0ct 2013

Call of applications for main exam : 1 nov 2013

closing date : 30 nov 2013

conduct of exam CSS : 15 feb to 28 feb 2013

written result announcement : 30 april 2014

psychological + viva : 10 may to 10 aug 2014

Allocation of groups : 15 aug 2013

Total time : 1 year

Passing marks will be 40%

Best way to prepare this test is to prepare and amalgamation of CSS compulsories and NTS.

what if someone gets least marks in one subject like islamiat then he would be consider as fail or overall specific ratio one has to obtain ? ? ?
what is this fpsc grow up . . . hamare attempt finish hone k baad karna tha na yeh sab . . .

very good deccision by FPSC,serious aspirants will be in competition that test will also gear up their preparation and most important paper checker will not underestimate any candidate and he will consider it serious effort specially in essay paper.

now css candidates will be tested on their cramming ability...MCQ'S....what a thought to reduce number of canidates in css... and what a time to conduct screening test..6 months before exams...wao......
it should be conducted two months before exams if its necessary...but its not the way to test ability of students...

One needs to be graduate in order to appear in the screening test?

Are you sure about the passing percentage?

Definitely graduates are supposed to take the prescribed test.Don't get perturbed as this test is not going to leave a grave effect on number of candidates but a little.However it is a good step to elevate the standard of CSS by this filtering process
