mismanagement of SPSC in combined competitive 2008
 

Assalamoalaikum:

The Sindh Public Service Commission is conducting combined competitive examination 2008 for recruitment to the different posts.

It is the highest level of the examination conducted at provincial level but the management and strictness is really poor.

I am also a candidate and my centre is Nazareth Girls college.

On 09-04-2008, we appeared in the paper of Islamic History Period One, that contained a question regarding the “Character and achievements of sulaiman bin Abdul Malik” the period of sulaiman bin abdul malik is only for 2 years and hence it was difficult for students to describe his character and achievements because not much there was in books so by hook or crook we did that question.

After the paper we came to know that in other centers except our centre Nazareth Girls College this questions was changed into “Character and achievements of Abdul Malik bin Marwan” it is a repeated question and important one as Abdul Malik ruled for 20 years and a lot of material is available in books, so students are ready and well prepared for this question.

This is really injustice. Exam paper should be same for all candidates. Why question was not changed in our centre? Because of this bad management on part of SPSC we shall suffer loss of at least 20 / 25 marks. Who is responsible for it? In the competitive exams one loses seat on the difference of one mark and it is matter of 20 / 25 marks.

We demand of the competent authority that the paper of Islamic history should be cancelled and be taken again so all candidates of province could attempt same paper and could get a fair and equal chance of appointment.

u r therefore requested ur voice and plz mail and fax to commission and media to make everyone this injustice ans mismanagement.

Refering to my earlier post, I requested the aspirants to get out of this trauma of Combined Competitive Examination and concentrate on CSS. Few of the forum fellows disagreed from the observation I made. I would again request the meritorious people to aim high and stop looking at these cheap examinations conducted for Mukhtiarkars and even Combined competitive.

Assalam O Alaikum,

CSS aspirants should not at all waste their time attempting Combined competitive exams and channalize their energies for CSS. Uncertainity attached with any of the exam conducted under the auspecies of SPSC is immense. A precious CSS attempt would be thousand time better than this jittery exam carries no surety.

Note: This mail doesn't serve the purpose of demotivating people from exams conducted by SPSC but merely based on the my personal experience and that of my CSP friends.

dear may be there happened some faraz at ur centers but at my center(qasimabad degree college) i dont find even a minute breach of law. though candidates tried to know the answeres of some questions by illegal means but they could not succeed in their attempt.

yar we have very strict descipline no any cheating no outgoing and no any disappointement on part of candidates.

dear i also first thought that i should not appear in CCE and only concentrate on CSS but i came from isloo here and am appearing in the exams.
the way papers are being conduted are really amazing yar i am fully hopefull about merit.

may be there were some wrong questions in CCE but that doesnot make sense. u even look at English COmp paper of CSS of 2008 that also contained an error which was later on corrected through oral means.

so SPSC is not a regular condutor of exams moreover here in CCE a large number of candidated are appearing. so such minor mistakes should not be considered as major.

[B]marilatif [/B]has responded that minor mistakes of SPSC [B]may[/B] be neglected, i dont comment and dont want to indulge in any debate but plz let me know if these r minor mistakes:

1. if a question paper is OUT before one day of exams?

2. if a question is changed in some centres and remains unchanged in others?

3. if a mistake is corrected in a paper in some centres and others r left out?

4. if in few centre ( particularly zubeda girls college) student are allowed to copy freely from books?

if these are the minor mistakes i salute ur wisdom and pray for u .

Dosto this is how departments work in Pakistan specially those in Sindh regardless whether it is PPP government or any other. I would again request you to aim high and go for CSS and related exams conducted by FPSC. Like many other departments SPSC is also an institution being run by politicians and influential bureaucrats directly. These all manupulations were also been observed in the last tenure of chairman SPSC Mr. Hassan Bhutto when he succeeded getting his own son allocated for the post of DDO through Combined Competitive 2003. Further more, a case was filled by a fellow with all evidences regarding the history of JALEE people allocated as DDOs and SOs and their relationship with influential people. But all in vein!!!!!

I would again request meritorious people to stop burning their blood by sitting in SPSC exams and go CSS and other exams conducted by Federal Public Service Commission because A GENERAL is sitting their as Chairman having a DANDA in his hand thrashing the requests of politicians to manupulate merrit.

Guys ..It was my first attempt and i want to share some of my feeligns about it . I realy enjoyed the SPSC enviroment ,what i realy liked about those who have develop the paper they realy loved the creativity and they made a paper who was for creative people I can still view .. English essay paper which was fantastic and sindh essay and litrature was awsoume, I rely liked the islamiyat and islamice history .It was all about creativity and as far as cheating is concerned ,my brother , i did not feel such thing .everyone was showing his best tempo.. This is the best exam ,i have ever confronted in my life .May allah help those who have enjoyed this exam rather seeing it as a curse.

Another observation.......

We should not blame PPP government for all this because sine day one I am an ardent believer of the fact that politician is an specie carries same traits and behave in similar manner. Last government headed by Muslim League-Q was also involved in pressurizing insitutes such as SPSC and infact FPSC. This fact was revealed by ex.chairman General Jamshed Gulzar Kiyani(Late) in his last few interviews specially one with Dr. Shahid Masud (Meray Mutabiq) on GEO tv that Pervez Musharaf pressurized him to do some appointments at high level setting aside merit.I consider Musharaf a politician and this is being said in this context. Mr. Kiyani turned it down and ultimately asked to leave the chairmanship by worthy president Mr. Musharaf

So it is the problem of every department and a young people should set aside all these observation and work hard. Young generation should inculcate in them the capacity of taking all these pathetic things LIGHTLY happeining in thier surroundings To me CSS is the channel and free of corruption because people at top level believe in the fact that if this cadre is being manupulated the administrative edifice of the country would be collapsed.

Bro,General sb. has completed his tenure as chairman FPSC...Now,ma'm Fazila is working as acting chairman FPSC now......

Fazila is also appointed by our well known president Mr: Asif Ali Zardari. There is 100 percent involvement of our Federal Ministers in FPSC posts except CSS. So I suggest my all brothers to apply for CSS.

Bro, since u'v initiated discussion on this topic, I wud share my experience with u here.....
Bro, I qualified SPSC's Combined Competitive Examination in 2005.... in the same batch with son of Mr. Hassan Bhutto.... I m serving as SO in Sindh Govt....U'v called us as JALEE people..... Pl don't forget that we 3 Section Officer's of same batch cleared CSS this year.... I m 4th in Sindh-Rural...In 2007, three Section Officers of our batch passed...1n 2006, two section Officers passed CSS.... In 2005, 5 Section Officers & 2 DDO's of our batch, passed CSS.... Mr. Ata-ullah Shah who topped in PCS, had already passed CSS... there was some other DDO (I don't recall his name) he left Income Tax group to join DDO in our batch.... few other people like Mr. Shah Hussain, Mr. Juman Thebo, Mr. Ibrahim Memon, Mr.Akbar Brahmani, who are presently working as Section Officers, were CSS qualifiers but due to shortage of seats they could not get allocations.......... U call such talented batch of Officer "JALEE" ... its highly regretable.......... if u were good enough u wud hv passed the exam.... Pl don't blame the system............
As for son of Chairman getting a seat of DMG is concerned,.... the same practice is followed by FPSC as well.... Mazhar-ul-haq's son & daughter cleared CSS when he was member of FPSC.... there r many examples to quote.....

What do u think that people who r appearing in CSS don't COPY?????
Pl correct urself...... I'v seen people using FARAZ in exam Hall during CSS... mobiles n other gadgets were frequently used in the past,, compelling FPSC to search candidates by a metal Detectors outside exam halls last year, which is proof of this.....

In 1994, paper of Islamiat of CSS was leaked.......


THINK BIG..... I m so disappointed by such distorted information....
