Is the SPSC Screening Test for CCE legal.

Is it as per policies and rules of SPSC to take screening test before written exam of CCE. In principle screening test can't be justified because MCQs best tests are not the criteria of judging some one's competence or incompetence. Those who are expert in taking MCQs based test may not be as good in written as in MCQs and vice versa. So as per my point of view this screening test idea is ridiculous, this should be challenged whether SPSC is authorised to take this test or not. Member are requested to share your views.

Well make one thing clear here, are you against the screening test or the MCQs based screening test? I don't see how subjective vs objective differ in testing candidate's appetite for the exam, except that the close-ended questions are a lot more time saving. Time savings plus the less cost factors associated with the MCQs based screening test are need of the hours as far as my opinion is concerned. If you go through the annual reports, both these factors are causing nuisance for both the SPSC and FPSC.

asking such kind of questions were the peak of stupidity. how one can know before two years British pm came on which date in Pakistan or on what date foreigners were killed in gilgit by militants?

yes sir you are right that some are good at MCQs tests and some in subjective part. and first of all screening is illegal because it was not mentioned in advertisement and another thing this was not test pattern through which some one can be judged, because it was too hard and out of pattern. Third thing with this test pattern passing criteria should be at least 33%. so again spsc has played with emotions of suitable candidates because of their another wrong step.

Making it controversial will affect those who worked very hard and passed this Crazy test. Yeah coming out of this test unscathed is a miracle. I congratulate those who have been successful. If somebody cant clear such test he may not be suitable or lucky enough to be considered as candidate for latter subjective test. Dark horses have won. and ....Now the competition is within crammers

Look forward. Let bygone be bygone.

At least SPSC has learned something from NTS. I am astonished at speed with which it has uploaded answer keys. Great.

Passing criteria for Compulsories is 40 marks in competitive exams... spsc should revise the criteria to 40 marks

Dear my point is that when the rules of SPSC clearly mention the syllabus and subjects of CCE then why the screening test when MCQs or Subjective based. Rules are also clear about who can appear in the written exam. The qualification and age is also clearly mentioned. How many candidates appear in the CCE and how much time does SPSC take to assess the copies of the candidates is not the problem of a candidate. Every Graduate who is with in the age limit specified by the SPSC has right to appear in the exam and compete.

the point is not to make it controversial. Every person who is qualified and is within age limit should have been given the chance to appear in the written exam for CCE.

I have one doubt regarding screening test , as i have seen in most of the competitive exams Roll number and name was already written on OMR answer sheet but here it was not as like that, we wrote our our name and roll numbers our self, It might be possible some people attempted that question paper out of the exam hall, as already we heard about corruption and rate list
