failures are the stepping stone of success. So, ????????????????????
Dude there is a limit to competition. Many candidates who were already qualified css officers were also part of the race. Many candidates were those who failed all three css attempts. Wht i did not expect was css officers who qualified 3 4 years back, I was only factoring in freshly qualified officers.

Although I understand that they simply applied for AC but had to tick other options as well. They didnt get their AC ship and they wont join other posts because even Federal OMG officer is better than section officer. So in effect they deprived deserving candidates of seats that will be carried over.

who said they had to tick all the options? I only wrote 3 options and left out other options. Though, I am not among allocated lot, but it was individual choice to select one or many options. HE simply did injustice to people who needed job.

Remaining unallocated seats will be advertised soon. It is a rule in provisional commissions, those seats which are unfilled, would be advertise. Like rescent ASI seats were to be filled of Karachi Urban. So game on hai! Now it is up to PCS, that when it adettises the remaining posts along with the new ones.

It went good. The main thing is despite a person from journalistic background. The Panel asked me some hard economic terms in the beginning. The answered all of them and from that movement I took the commanding position for whole interview.

SO how many questions u dropped. And in which language u gave interview. Did they ask about css attempts plz do answer so that we can understand mentality of interview penal for future.

Taimooor Tuesday, August 23, 2016 01:04 AM

how can one be so sure that the remaining seats of Urban went unallocated and that the candidates had failed the interview? The commission is not even dispatching the dmcs of written pass candidates. Moreover, one thing remains unclear; all the seats were increased in number except the assistant commissioner seats? Where as it was told a few days earlier that the number of AC seats had also increased.

P.S whatsoever is the case, the spsc needs to improvise on the induction process and make it at par with the FPSC atleast.

I replied 80% of the questions. Medium is both English and Urdu. They asked analytical questions in English and Short one's in urdu. They asked about CSS attempts I replied Sir I left with 2 marks in Islamiyat in my first and final attempt. they replied why final, why not you appeared before. I replied, sir unfortunately in my family and community circle there is not a tradition to apply in government services so it takes a lot of years to make my mind for competetive exams. They all passed a smile on my answer. One more thing they asked why we hire you: I replied sir simply because I have diversified background and experience for the post and second this is my final chance for any competetive position so one thing is for sure that I can't leave you for any better position.

Well I cant understand one thing. Y interview pattern was not uniform. Some people were engaged in discussions, other like me, were bombarded with token questions and 90% of them were only about dates and names.
Moreover, Panels obsession with serving CSPs was also evident from fact that they involved them in discussion, ideas and opinions, whereas others were put dealt by asking dates and names and even treated harshly.

To me, criteria has prevailed over merit. Eligibility was given preference over suitibility. But any how SPSC has performed much higher than expectations of aspirants in these corrupt times.

Dear i think there was not much difference in interview method.
Most of the candidates were asked both analytical and token questions. It was upto panel's mood wether they like your arguments or one-liner.
My interview was a mixture of analytical and token questions. It started with some discussion then token questions were bombarded and ended up with discussing Syrian crisis.
After a dedicated interview preparation of more than 4 months i was able to answer them above 70 percent. I left interview room with a complacent feeling.
Moreover, written score has played a vital role in allocations. Most of the candidates with low scoring subjects have remained unallocated.
Luckily, this lunatic bird has found its nest in excise and taxation dpt.
Allocated as excise and taxation officer.
Planning to appear in css 17 also as its my last attempt.Birds rarely find a permanent residence, so preparing for a new flight.

Heartiest congratulations for the bird who got nest, and best of luck for CSS17. I remember efforts you put in to get idea about interviews and shared it on this forum with a big heart. I also understand that interviews hadnot bought significant change in written merit list and SPSC performed better than expectations of many. But if I see shortcomings, then I should point them out as well.

In my case, interview was 100% token questions. Introduction interrupted twice and then stopped. 90% questions were about dates and names. Near about 40+ Qs, only two related to previous job and one each related to my qualification and CA. They were looking in hurry. 60-65% correct answers i think. But I accept my subject selection was weird and I was heavily relying on my professional profile to impress panel. I understand my strategy didnot work as planed. But its all right. I moved on.

Again many many congratulations.

Actually in the intro part I discuss in detail about my past experience. I am presently working in Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL), an autonomous state enterprise. Prior to that I had experience of more than 4 yrs of working with several national and international NGO's. and prior to that I work in Media Channel Aaj, ARY and Business Plus. I think they gave weightage to my experience part.
