Assalamu Alaikum,
Dear I am attempting spsc exam for the first time and I need advice on selecting optional subjects for cce 19, I have done BE in Civil Engineering from Muet Jamshoro. Can anyone please suggest me.

Dear, first of all check syllabus of optional subjects. if you are good in any subject go for that. Otherwise Combination of Islamiat & Islamic History I and History of Sindhi Literature is literature is lethal. Because Islamiat and Islamic History I 50% course is almost same whereas History of Sindhi Literature will help you in Sindhi General and Sindhi Essay Compulsory subjects.

Moreover, Journalism and Sociology subjects are aslo general subjects. one can easily get grip of those subjects in little time period.

Dear jawad I have seen the syllabus of subjects but still little bit confused, can you elaborate me about sociology and about geology?

There is no mention of the posts on the notice on spsc website. Do you know which posts are mentioned?

I don't know about the post but I think it will be in the form which we had to fill online.

Dear it's also my first attempt dear I have selected my optional subjects but now I am confuse for preparing screening test please guide me almost any book or other........

For Screening Test Cover following topics in detail
1)Everything about Sindh (Geography,Historical Sites,Poets,Famous personalities,districts etc)
2)General Knowledge of Pakistan(Lakes,Parliament,Monuments,Cities, Geography)
3)Current Affairs(Current happenings of past 2- 3 years like football worldcup,elections 2018,Turkey elections 2018 etc)
4)Currencies and Capitals(Confimed 1 to 2 questions from these 2)
5)Inventions,Basic physics concepts and Basic Biology
6)Geography(For world geography i recommend to study locations of famous seas,oceans,peaks,ports etc)
7)Last but no least English which includes synonyms and antonmys which are too random to predict,analogies again are random but u can focus to grammar usage questions like prepositions and tenses,active passive and narration.

I recommend you to study first 4 plus geography in detail rest just go through a little because in other portions the questions are so random to be prepared for.

One good book for Screening test is "General Knowledge by Ch. Najib Ahmed". For Sindh GK you have to refer internet or any other source.

Sociology cover general issues like families, children, marriage and societal problems. Everyone is more or less is aware about these issues. whereas, geology is technical, if you are good at geology having Civil background. you can opt it.

i have opted european history for 2018 exam...but after screening test i realized that i should have opted indian history part 2...now i am really confused what to opt for 2019...because i have to prepare european history for 2018 exam and now if I opt indian history, it will be difficult job to prepare for an another new subject..what to do...please give me your suggestions...
