yeah u have been rightly told about sources from which u have to prepare. for PST from v to viii, whereas for JST matriculation science books will be the syllabus of the test.

also u must have strong vocabulary, and knowledge about english grammar and sentence structure.

read physics, chemistry and biology books thoroughly. if possible also consult intermediate level books as well. because test will be conducted from these books, so more u score, more ur chances of selection. as u know there will not be any interview for the post, appointments will be made on ur written score.

so better start teaching middle and matric level students, so that u may have grip of the syllabus of these classes.

rest is all depend on ur luck,

As far as English, Islamiat and Pak Study is concerned, I think it is no metter for me. The rest of the syllabus that is Science based. In this regard, I think Everday Science of Fardi and Kashmiri is best, As it would be better to kill two birds with one stone. Should I start Everday Science as it would be benificial for me in PST And Jst test also with the CSS Preparation. What do you think Marilatif should i go further with that. Or only consult elementary books?

study books from sixth to intermediate and also study other MCQ books.
I appeared in the test of SLT(SINDHI LANGUAGE TEACHER),test was descriptive and objective. So in pst and jst may same pattern be repeated.

no need to prepare from these books. they are useless for this test.

better purchase elementary and high school science and social science books and prepare from there. because all the questions will come from there.

hope u people now understood

Ans. 1. The written tests conducted for teachers recruitment in education & literacy department which I have seen in last 10 years were all Mcq type.

Like in 2004 test conducted by Iqra University the test format for PST/JSTwas:
English 25 Q
G,Sc 15
Math 15,
Pakstudy 12
Isl 13
Sindhi/urdu 15
GK 15

Total 115 Mcqs

In 2007 test was conducted by IBA-sukkur for PST/JST/HST, test format was:

Eng 35 Q
Math 35
Q GK (Isl+Pkstdy+sindhi) 30
Total 100

In 2009 test for PST/JST was conducted by Sindh university testing service. the test pattern was:

30 Mcq english
30 MCQ math
15 Mcq science
15 Mcqsindhi, Isl, Pakstdy
10 Mcq pedagogy (teaching skills)

Total 100

Hence it can be concluded that the upcoming test is expected to be of 100 MCQs containing areas like:

English 25 to 30
Maths 20 to 25
G.science 15 to 20
Pak Study 10
Islamiat 10
Sindhi 10 to 15
G.K 10
Pedagogy 10

Ans. 2. For PST/JST books you should read Sindhi, Social study, Science, Islamiat of elementary level upto class 8 and P.study of class 9th.
For HST the general Science portion will be divided in Physics, chemistry and Biology so one must read at least 9th, 10th class books of these subjects.

Ans. 3. There is no specific which covers the textbook syllabus of school level, so its of no use, you just need to revise these courses from textbooks only.

Ans. 4. You can also read few things from internet like islamiat, Pak study, science and also practice english, otherwise textbooks are more than enough.

Regards.

why the Education department is delaying the PST, JST, and HST test. It was expected that test would be conducted in the June but now they extend the time for submission of application and rumors are also there that they are canceling these vacancies. Then why the department of Education announced such vacancies?

Well dear, this is not a delay tactic, the date has been extended for the betterment of the people who are waiting for jobs since very long and the recent jobs are 19,000 in number so all the people must be given proper chance to apply, it was the public demand and this decision has been praised by many stakeholders. The written test will be conducted within few months by IBA sukkur so keep preparing.
While as far as the rumors of cancelling posts are concerned there is no such action being taken by the government, actually a case at High Court is pending against Education n literacy department and High court was pressing to cancel these posts till the decision but vacancies have not been cancelled and insha'allah will be filled this year.
