AoA All,
I want to ask for priority in preference list. My plain and simple question is that:

1. Is ETO better than Section Officer? And should it be placed higher than SO? Is it more powerful and lucrative than SO?

Aariz what I have written in my priority list
1. Assistan Commissioner
2.Exise and Taxation Officer
3.Assistant Director (Labour) BS-17
4.Section Officer
and yes the post of ETO is alot better than the post of Section Officer. ETOs become Directors in a short span of time while SOs always remain in Secretariat.

Salam, Can any one tell me what are the promotion aspects for PCS officers?? I have heard that promotions are very slow for an officer inducted through PCS.. Is it true??

Unfortunately promotions are indeed very slow for PCS officers. In addition to this there is a lack of meritocracy in SPSC. If you have the option then go for CSS and there are rapid promotions in DMG and OMG cadres

What is the job description of ETO? ETO will only work in Karachi ?

What are the perks of A.C?

I have heard there is lot of politics and wadera culture that creates hurdle in the life of an A.C Assistant Commsioner.

Is it true. ?

Too many questions.. well lets face them one by one.
Dear Exise and Taxation dept is a revenue collecting agency which plays a paramount role in resource mobilization.Moreover, the dept has been entrusted with two functions i.e. Tax collection and Narcotics suppression. Therefore, its a very lucrative post.

Second, ACs enjoy too many perks and privileges. We can't imagine. You can think from this example that an AC in IRS (CSS) will happily leave his job, if he has been given the post of AC/DDO in Revenue (CCE). No matter promotions are late but PCS officers enjoy same privileges that CSS officers enjoy.

Third, I dnt think that Wadras will create hurdles. No matter you are directly appointed AC through CCE or a ranker, these waderas will give you a wide berth. so dnt worry! Work hard!!!

are we only suppose to write 4 preferences, there are total 7 posts. what about the remaining three? i see only 4 options in the form,

bro do write your first four preferences for now, as it is just a formality.
when you qualify written part of the cce, the commission will ask your preference for all these post.

In which cities of sindh do A.C's work? any idea.

After the completion of their mandatory training at Karachi. They can work in any Tehsil (city) in Sindh
