first of all Congratulations to those who passed written exam of ASI :)...
im selected SUB INSPECTOR in Punjab Police 2 months ago..our selection procedure is completed and training is expected to start in september in Sihala College Islamabad..
There will be no running, push ups etc. in your physical test..only measurement of height, chest and eye sight test will be done..running, push ups is only for soldiers..so don't worry about physical test..start your preparation for interview.

bro can you please share the some questions which were asked from you in interview. i think sub inspectors in punjab police also be selected through punjab public service commission so your guidance can really give us advantage regarding our interview preparation.

before interview PPSC conducted Psychological test comprised of 100 MCQs and one paragraph writing (13-15 lines) 10 marks..mine topic was "How to make improvements in the current police department? give recommendations." paragraph writing was also included in psychological test..
There was no fail or pass in psychological test..every one who passed written test gone through both psychological test and interview..
My interview was taken by a panel of 4 members...Chairman of Panel Mr. Kalb-e-Abbas (ex Addl. IG of Police), DPO Layyah SSP Ghazi Salah-ud-din, ex Judge of High Court, and one Psychologist...

Q.1 introduce yourself. (name, education, father name, father's occupation, about brothers and sisters, any job u r doing)
Q.2 question about your final degree...(for example if u done MBA then questions about accounting, business administration, banking)
Q.3 Loud Speaker ka istemal jo mukhtalif masajid aur madraso mai hota hai us k bare mai ap kia kehte hen? loud speaker k bare mai pakistan mai koi law hai k nhi?

I also received physical test letter and my test will be on 13/08/2014 at police head quarter Hyderabad.

I have received my physical test letter few days ago , mine test is on 13 /8/14 at Head Quarter Garden Police south Karachi,,,,,,,,,, my cousin is in police department his Sp told him that there would be running test ,bro b ready ,,,
