I wrote many "people" instead of many a men because people is more general term that is used for all genders.while men is more specific in its use.

them is also correct.Both are pronouns.

Quite tough paper this time, except first question all four other questions were very tricky and of advanced level. Adjectives, idioms, pairs of words and errors all were not so simple as in past papers.
