Attempt Six Questions all carry equal marks.

01- Discuss in detail North West Frontier Policy of Auranzeb.

02- What do you know about Humayun's Wanderings in Sindh? What were chief events of his journey through Sindh?

03- What do you know about the development of art and architecture under Mughals?

04- Trace the history of the East Indian Company in detail.

05- Do you agree that Akbar was the real founder of Mughal Empire in India? Discuss

06- Write in detail about mansabdari system of the Mughals. What were chief defects of the system?

07- Discuss how the conquest of Sindh by the English in 1843 was in inevitable.

08- Elaborate events of second Anglo-Sikh War also discuss causes of the collapse of Sikh kingdom in Punjab.

01- Discuss in detail North West Frontier Policy of Auranzeb.

2. North West Frontier Policy Of Aurangzeb
:
a) Historical Background
Akbar initiated this policy to reoccupy his forefathers' territory in the central Asia

b) Rebellions in the North East
Pakhtuns (Yousaf Zai)

c) Afridi tribes confrontations

d) Arrest of Khushal Khan Khattak

e) Confrontation with local tribes

3. Defeat of rebellions

4. Aftermath of the wars
a) Sir Jadu Nath described it as a big failure of Aurangzeb:

b) Economic loss in the Western province

c) Drain of royal treasure

d) Central govt ruined because of the Nortg West Frontier policy

e) Corruption in the Center by de facto rulers

f) Golkunda & Bijapur also ruined the monarch governance due to the Persian dominancy

(In map, it can be seen that Aurangzeb spent more time for the North West frontier compaigns and also he dispatched main generals to the southern part and thus the central part of the empire began to collaps)

g) Eruption of Marhathas

5. Conclusion
Indeed, big empires can not go with little minds. Aurangzeb ruined the Mughal Empire owing to his policies. Though he consolidated north west but it cost a huge dent in economy and central governance got shattered by the treachers and rebellions.

After defeated in the battle of Bilgram (1540) he went to Agra.

@Kashmir & Sindh

3. His wandering in Sindh & confrontation with the following chief events:

a) Reached Rohri along Indus river (map)

b) At Bakhar & Thatta-Maldeva invitation

c) Food shortage

d) Army wanted to leave due to hot weather at Thatta

e) Birth of Akbar

f) Kamran's Spoy

h) His wife wanted a better future for Akbar

i) Akbar's nourishment issue

k) His help from Bakhar

l) Crossed to Persia

Note: This question was not merely about ,"architecture". It demanded to tell about "Art" as well. Many candidates might have missed this thing and it will cost in score.
