Have you all forgotten when forms for the post of mukhtiarkar filled and when examination date was given?
as far i remember there was 3 years gap.
It goes without saying that, competent candidates of Sindh are instead of staging protest against spsc, seems as cool as cucumber.

My fellows,i am openly inviting you to write against the role of Spsc in the newspapers for making this institution effective.

Wish you all the best
Best Regards
Waqar brother, why doesnt our president take some serious actions against SPSC? Does he not know SPSC is the only source where all sindhis can compete and get jobs?
Where is president Zardari?
All provicial commissions like BPSC, PPSC and KPPSC has recommended thousands of candidates for jobs in different departments where as SPSC has still not decided PCS, Mukhtiarkar and recently Lecturer posts.
If i were president of Pakistan, i had arrested whole the staff of SPSC.

Media is least bothered to trigger controversy on the poor role of spsc because media today is forwarding its scramble for commercial ends and its long drawn battle for extravagant publicity is hidden to none.
media gives exposure to the topic which pays them the most in this context.
i therefore recommend to stage physical protest against the corrupt institute.
write letters to the city administration for co operation , get mobilized and hit the head office with regular protests. direct all the Agitating cards, tags, slogans and all the possible taunts towards spsc poor performance.
this way a new issue will get birth and it would automatically capture media focus. once you got the nation wide focus via media. All the complaints and demands will be spontaneously met in the short course of time.
For this action all the students in general and candidates in particular are required to put their direct involvement. with your devoted efforts and sacrificing spirits you can only bring change to the spsc.
regards

DAWN, Thursday, 9th December, 2010.
Plea for reforming SPSC

THE Sindh Public Service Commission through its notification issued on Dec 7 extended the date for applying to the posts of lecturer in various subjects to Jan 8 next.

These vacancies were previously advertised by the SPSC on Feb 19.

The previous last date for applying was March 31, which was later revised to April 30.

The latest extension in the date comes after eight months and most shockingly at a time when the word was spread among applicants that the written test for these vacancies would be conducted in December.

It is the height of ignorance on the part of the SPSC that it has cloaked the fudged extension date under the cover of recent floods. One must remind the SPSC that floods surfaced nearly three months after the revised last date had ended, i.e. on July 28 onwards. Whereas the revised last date had passed on April 30.

All those aspirants for the said posts who were eligible must have applied for these jobs on the stipulated dates much before the floods ravaged the country.

One wonders what the SPSC is up to in this recent move. The applicants and others concerned over the prevalent disregard for transparent conduct see this move as politically motivated and aimed at depriving meritorious applicants of their jobs.

It is such a hapless situation that I do not find a man of authority whom I may plead through this letter to reform the SPSC to bring it to the standards of the public service commissions functioning in other provinces of the country.

The SPSC needs urgent reforms which will not come unless the government of Sindh acts more seriously to address the predicament of young people of the province.

Dear!
Corruption does not travel from lower tier to upper rather it travels from upper to lower. Thus,if President would take an action against the Spsc then who will recruit his Jiyalaas?

Political influence has completely distorted Spsc.
Would you believe seats in sindh are being shared with some political parties and all this takes place with the help of SPSC.

So keep writing against the role of Sindh public service commission.
Inshallah one day it will be completely transparent.

Regards,

Should we ask media to focus over this serious issue?

Pakistani Media highlights such issues which create sensationalism and this is what mostly liked by our people.

in Mukhtiarkar exam ,many students were cheating in the exam ,i myself made a couple of calls to different channels to come and highlight poor management of spsc ,not a single one gave positive response.
I would say Media is more corrupt than other institutions.

I agree 100% with your quoted words.
Media is mostly interested in the issues where it can earn either money or publicity.

I've heard that the test is going to be conducted on 17 January. Who can confirm it to be a rumour?

It's a rumour. There are tests for different posts in varied departments from 13th Jan - 17th Jan. But so far there is NO official news on the lectureship test. Rest assured. I have confirmed it.
