Yes! I know about all procedures and requirements which are mention in your recommended thread but questions was that for example, if there is an advertisement for the MICROBIOLOGY LECTURER post then what are the optional subjects that I suppose or recommended to choose because according to my knowledge there is a rule that the candidate must have the subject as a major to which the advertisement is given. So to my point of view I should select MICROBIOLOGY as one of my optional subjects in order to participate for this post but I didn't find MICROBIOLOGY in any of the group from A to E as an optional.

Okay, so you are not talking about PCS exam.
You are talking about vaccancies which comes every now and then and they are advertised by SPSC.
If they advertise vaccancies of lecturer of Microbiology, they will mention the required criteria and the test will be different from PCS. The main emphasis will be on your Microbiology degree.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Yes! exactly you understand it well now.. so in that case how can i choose MICRO as the optional subject? (As this subject is not listed in the group of syllabus from A to E...)
And in this case will all the procedure of the exam as same as for regular PCS (i.e. 5 compulsory subjects and 3 optional subject) ??

Check this on SPSC website. It has all the details.
And I think since they have not offered any vaccancy to Microbiology so I think you are not eligible.
However do contact SPSC on phone asking them whether you can apply for Botany or Zoology ? Or is there any chances of Microbiology vaccancies being announced ?
Confirm each and everything.

Contact numbers on the website of SPSC

Madam you are confusing two different things. 1) Combined Competitive Examination and 2) Lectureship

1) Combined Competitive examination is held every three or five years. Positions advertised in combined competitive:

DDO
Section Officer
Assistant Director Labour
Assistant Registrar
Assistant Director Food
and some relevant positions.

Papers for Combined Competitive:

Compulsory subjects:

1. Sindhi Essay
2. Sindhi General
3. English Essay
4. English General/composition
5. General Knowledge

Optional Subjects:
A list of optional subjects from various fields is available from which you have to select any three subjects by keeping in view the group limit.

II. Lectureship:

Lectureship is announced for specific discipline and that requires degree in specific area. In that exam there is no optional paper. Everything is mandatory. Mostly MCQ type written exam is conducted which is predominantly covered from your required degree say for example Microbiology.

Apart from Combined Competitive and Lectureship there are various miscellaneous openings which require different criteria on case to case basis.

So if your target is lectureship in Microbiology field then focus on your own subjects + English.

If your target is combined competitive then select any three optional subjects from the available choices and start your preparation.

Regards

Thanks for your detailed reply which covers almost 75% of my confusion.
But there is one more question that if I prepare for lectureship exams then do I have to consider the 5 compulsory subject i.e
Urdu Essay
Urdu General
English Essay
English General
General Knowledge
So these are the subjects important to be taken in Competitive Exams so Do i suppose to take these subjects in consideration if just appearing for the lectureship?
Plus In case for lectureship, the thing you said about MCQs for major subjects Is really true? If it is then WOW.. And the MCQs based pattern is for ENGLISH as well?

No, these compulsory subjects are for Combined Competitive examination (CCE) only. Lectureship exam is totally different from CCE. Lectureship exam is based on MCQs.
