CCE Exam Questions

Dear brothers and sisters,

Assalam o Alekum.

This is my 1st post on this forum. It is very good and helpfull for people like me. Thanks to the owners and organisers of this web site.

I searched all the posts of SPSC as i had few questions.

I found out some answers but for few I did not get any clue. So i am writing my questions here and hope the seniors will help me.

1. What is the upper age limit for CCE? I heard it was relaxed to 45. Is that true and still applicaple?

2. regarding the Sylibus of Subject, is it Masters level or Bachlors level?

3. Do the posts offered to successful candidates have choices like CSS or u have to apply for any one single post only?

Sincere regards

YKD

Dear in response to you questions, as far as i know.

The upper age limit is 30 years.

The Syllabus is for bachelors level

and after qualifying the written, psychological and interview, you will be asked 3 options regarding your choice of departments / group of services. finally if your choice and merit corresponds then you are the one who will join the services.

Further if any mistake any senior can add from his side.

Take care.

the upper age limit is 28 years but the previous govt announced general relaxation of 15 years for provincial service in Sindh . so now it is 43 years

the eligibility is 2nd class bachelors in any discipline

generally following posts are offered
DDO REVENUE
SECTION OFFICER
ASSTT DIRECTOR LABOUR
ASSTT REGISTRAR COOPERATIVE SOCITIES

@ M Hussein,

thanx for the informative post!

Bro, thats quite good news for late bloomers like myslf :)

the ammendment in the lage relaxation is a permanent feature or was just done so in the last CCE?

Im thinking that this was only a1 time relaxation intended to give beneft to the party loyalists of the sitting governmnt, but I may be wrong as well.

Any thing could be expected keeping inview the past record (and shananigans) of SPSC.

But if the age relxation is still the same as 2008, i will definatly give it a shot. Any idea when the exams will be taking place? 2011 or 2012?

muhammad hussain Monday, February 28, 2011 06:33 PM

age relaxation may be applicable unless it is withdrawn.
next PCS is expected this year ( rumors r that it will be announced in March )

@ M Hussein:

WOW!! yet another great news from u bhai! Khusk raho. Allah aap ki zubaan mubarak karey :D

bro, after announcement, how many days/month does an aspiring candidate get to prepare? Meaning, how many days gap between examination and registration?

Bro, it would be very kind of you if u breifly discuss what are the job descriptions of the posts mentioned by you in ur above post. I also read that u are Inspector Excise. did u get that post via SPSC or some other departmental exam? If u landed this job via SPSC, then why did'nt u mention it along with the other posts that u listed above? Thanx in advance for the help. Im sure all juniors will appreciate it quite alot.

Thank you all of seniors for providing me me suitable answers.

I also search the SPSC website and found it quite useful. Along with this website. Few more questions for seniors.

1. Are past papers avaible for CCE and what they are called?

2. What are the scoring subjects expect maths related subjects?

3. I observed in many posts that some CCE passed individulas are discussing that they only opted for DDO R or nothing else. EWhat does that mean? Please explain.

4. A breif introduction of these posts will be appreciated. Which cadre each belongs to? I know that DDO-R belongs to DMG group I would appreciate if seniors tell me the remaining.

Deputy District Officer ---- DMG GROUP ----- DUTIES???
Excise & Taxation Officer
Assistant Director/Regional Manager
Assistant Director Labour
Section Officer
Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies
Labour Officer
Ward Rationing Officer

thanks all of you

@god of war & yasir khan durrani

i passed SPSC exam back in the year 2001 to join excise & taxation dept in the capacity of inspector.

syllabus and past papers of CCE available at Urdu bazar

cant comment on scoring subjects as CCE is not regularly conducted.
i can share my personal experience that commerce comprising and economics are not scoring ( i had them in 2003 CCE and secured less than 100 marks in each ) however islamic history is scoring. ( again it is purely based on personal expreince. others may have different opinions according to their knowledge , experience and understanding.

ppl opted for DDO-R only because they were already on jobs and they considered DDO-R to be the only category that might attract them to leave their existing jobs

DDO-R and SO( secretiate group ) are more career oriented jobs comparing to other catogories.

about the time span b/w registration and examination , God only knows exactly when the exam would be conducted :)

generally 4-6 months time is given. ( CCE 2008 was announced in Jan 2008 and exam was to be conducted in May-June 2008 but they were actually conducted in March 2009 )

@Yasir Khan Durrani,

Great questions bro, keep them rolling . Are u from Karachi? May be we can hook up for combined study if you feel thats appropriate.

@ M Hussein,

Bro, Thanks for answering the questions put up by Yasir so aptly, they have helped me too. Your helpful attitude is testament that you have the right ingredients of becoming a great officer. may Allah grant you success and fortitude to perform your duties towards our dear country with the same zeal and concern. And congrats on passing CCE

Bro, please also shed some light on the duties that an individual has to perform as a section officer and DDO-R and in what department/cadre are these section officers posted. I believe Yasir will also benefit from this piece of information.

I am planning to take up Islamic History I. Could you oblige by recommending the book that you utilized for preparation of the same?

Kind regards

god of war...........
