It is very good book covering vast areas of the general knowledge, grasping it will help you alot. Further, always there remains uncertainty about the question in the exam, none can assure you. At this stage we can only suggest and tell most probable things.

is there any number that i can call or any gentleman in the spsc that i can talk to and confirm if my name is in the 33000 scrutinised people? In all honesty, Im really not in the mood to get enthusiastic about preparation only to find out that i am not allowed to give the exam

Please help me out if any one can...

If you possess 2nd division intermediate and your age is within limit then need not to worry, your name must be in the eligible candidate list. Its too early to call SPSC, as soon as test schedule is announced, candidate lists will be uploaded on SPSC website.

Default @ alimallah.

Bro, since you seem to be a person who knows, can you tell me if direct SI are also inducted in Sindh Police? I have been told that if one is selected as ASI, he can send a written request to the concerned department for his apraisal to SI immedietly in light of his educational qualification.

Does this information hold any credence or its just a rumour.

Today I have come to know through some reliable sources that Home ministry has asked SPSC to stop the progress on process of ASI test, hence its possible that these tests will be taken back and filled by the ministry itself through MPAs, MNAs.

Dear in 2002, around 1500 ASIs were appointed in Sindh Police through SPSC for the first time on merit in the period of Mushraf. In that many successful candidates had very high academic background like BE, LLB, MBA, MCom, and masters in various disciplines. When these people joined they had to work hard, like patrolling on HWs, security arrangements, night duties etc and in return they were among low paid employees hence dropout ratio increased.
Then the management gave that initiative that ASIs having masters degree can be given 1 step promotion (.i.e. from ASI BPS-09 to SI-BPS-14).

No. The last date is over and also the fate of these seats is in doubts.

Hah hah, I told you before but my messege was deleated by the mods I think. Doesnt matter, atleast we now know from 2nd source not to wait for these police jobs.

Now I have heard that 7500 jobs have been created for Sind Police. Maybe direct DSP and Inspector Posts will also be included, like Punjab did recently. But sadly there is mor chance that 'Jiyalas' will get these jobs and deserving candidates will get 'Thumb'.

We should only prepare for CSS 2013. Nothing else is fair.
