Question Date for next PCS exam?
Dear All,
Has anyone got any information when would be the next PCS exam conducted? Is it likely to be conducted in 2012? Which month? When will it be advertised in newspaper?

Well still there is a lot of work to be done on the CCE, as some posts of DSP were given to SPSC by ex-home minister for recruitment through combined competitive exam but now department wants to withdraw these seats and some issues like that are yet to be solved. There are chances that SPSC will announce CCE in 2012 but when the exam will be held, its too early to say...

Hopefully announcement is expected in April 2012 and there will be one month period for form submission then the scrutiny begins. Almost 8 to 10,000 applications are expected and their scrutiny is not an easy job hence mostly probably the exam will be held in end of the year

Yes I appeared in PCS-2008 qualified written as well as interview under seat No. 9290 but could not get allocation due to tough competition in rural seats as well due to some other factors (not to be discussed here). No dear PCS is conducted almost after every 3,4 years.

when will the next exam be conducted? and is there any chance of DSP seats in it? how many seats of asst.commissioner will be there? will be there any merit, say 50 percent atleast?? dear thanks for ur info. please shed some light on this as well.

announcement is very much expected in August/September 2012. Then scrutiny procedure may take few months. So the expected time may be December/January.
