Noops but there are other options like you can try for various commission exams and PCS/Combined competitive exam conducted by SPSC.

The remaining 10% quota for JST is open for competition among male and female irrespective of any UC-specification (although its name is mixed quota but you can call it open merit based on taluka level as male n female both can contest). Here the contestants will be all the remaining candidates after UC-wise allocation. The candidates who have got high score but failed to get any seat due to unavailability of need based vacancy in his/her UC will also be able to get a seat for him/her
Thanks for your response dear. BUT No. There is no policy like that. An extra twenty marks won't affect the males in any way, because they have their separate seats for separate male schools even in mixed merit. I have got it confirmed. The mixed merit is the ten percent of the total seats of males and females in a taluka. For example, if there are 30 seats for males in a Taluka and 20 for females in the same Taluka, then the ten percent of the total seats becomes males= 3 + females= 2 = 5 in total. Now there are separate seats for males and females here. And after having filled all the vacancies of all UCs of a particular Taluka, the remaining candidates and those who do not have any vacancy in their UC will compete in the mixed merit ( ie males for male seats and females for female seats ). I hope you got it now. If whatever you said is correct then all 5 top scorers among females will fill the seats in mixed merit, because there will still be many females who will be eligible for the mixed quota even after having filled UC specific seats. By giving them extra 20 marks they will surpass males. So will the female teachers be appointed in male middle or high schools? Definitely not What do you say?

You are mistaken Dear Mixed quota is open to all candidates whether male or female. Its not only open to all UCs but also to all candidates.

Yes there are many instances where female candidates selected on mixed quota are working in male primary and middle schools and vice versa. Do you really want their names??? I have names as I know them personally.

I have already said that I have been closely watching these appointments since 2008 and to some extent I have remained involved in this process as my brother has worked on such capacity in education department who used to determine merit and compile lists under District Recruitment Committees. hence I talked about this after experiencing it .
