A number of contradicting ideas rush into mind when the offered subjects are self-judged in different aspects. A candidate turns desperate and seeks suggestions. Logical arguments and differing recommendations received from the mentors in response, further worsen the indecisive state of mind.
This is exactly when he finds himself boggled and his repose lost. But I must tell you this is not a hell big deal. It’s something natural and needs to be naturally resolved.

Go for the subject that first lures your interest. If you find some serious imperfection in it later on, give chance to the second one in order. No doubt your previous knowledge and experience help you a great deal in this matter.
As for as public Ad is concerned I may link you to some relevant thread. It might be helpful.

Thanks for the link Pureapak, I checked it breifly, and it doesnt seem to help much... redmax has merely outlined all the questions from past papers 'study area wise'. I don't think thats much of a study plan. He basically recommends that we read the whole book front to back. How is that helpful for candidates??????

What needs to be chalked out is that 'what is important/relevent' from the book and 'what is not' from the book of Dr. Sultan Ahmed that he suggests. Theres no rocket science in suggesting to read the whole book, one way or another. Useless advice.

Secondly and More importantly, this syllabus is for CSS and not really pertinent with PCS. its mnore lenghthy and time consuming, and time is a luxury we dont have.

We must study hard, but also smart.

How will you compare the post of Mukhtiarkar vs SO?

How many years it takes for Mukhtiarkar to become AC?

Why is there no Application form for PCS 2013. All I have dowloaded are two admit cards and optional form with two more similar preference forms. But the application form available on website is for particular posts only not for CCE 2013.

http://spsc.gov.pk/downloads.html

Please someone help !
