The actual cost of the machine is 22275. The dealer offered it for 27500 and if he has to charge 10 percent less than that it means he will have to offer it at 24750 (a tenth portion from 27500 excluded). Now at 24750, he is still making a profit of ten percent which means we will have to exclude a tenth portion of this value to arrive at the actual price. Subtracting tenth portion from 24750, the answer is
22275.
27500/10=2750 > 27500-2750=24750
24750/10=2475 > 24750-2475=22275
10 percent rise excluded at both instants, separately, gives us the actual value which is
22275
