Personally, I think this is a dangerous precedent, using diplomatic isolation, when Middle East is already facing crisis. Such precedent is also not good for Pakistan which apparently has good ties with Qatar. Like Qatar, Pakistan also allegedly harbors Afghan Taliban.
This tactic can be used against Pakistan to coerce it to be more compliant to the Saudi Arabia's demands related to Military Alliance, and indirectly, to the U.S's interests - especially related to Afghanistan.
