Dear, I read your essay. I beg to differ with your view-point of Modernity. Your essay seems to portray the "scientific & technological progress and development" as Modernity and deals it as a "positive & necessary" thing for human beings. This is not the case actually. I would like to probe some basic questions here:
1. What do you mean by Modernity ? (Ontological position)
2. What is the thesis/fundamental statement of Modernity that defines it, in your opinion ?
3. Is it a world-view/ideology or mere evolutionary transformation of human race during history ?
4. Whether it is constructive for human beings or destructive ? Because it, actually, de-humanized the world (mechanization of the societies etc.)
