Technical jobs or those belonging to a certain set of profession/knowledge such as teachers, lectures, engineering, medical have a combination of English and that particular subject as syllabus.
Where as some posts such as those belonging to forces, intelligence organisations have English, General science and ability, Current Affair, Pak affairs , islamiat as their syllabus for MCQ type screening test.
When you apply for a job at FPSC you get weeks prior to exam, and the syllabus can be covered at that time. Meanwhile, concentrate on what you are already doing or studying. Except English, which being a language can't be learnt within weeks you can prepare for exam after your application.
In short, alongside your current occupation or commitment , give a short time to English which is necessary for all competitive exams.
