I have seen this paper. You should examine carefully that in paper, indirect was wrongly mentioned. Dialogue is clearly written in direct form. Also dialogue is type of direct speech. The only way to write it in a paragraph was by changing it in indirect form. No punctuation is required in dialogue. There way no other way of doing that.
Arguing on this issue is useless. Examiner will check according to his instructions and not according to our understanding.
