SATPARA DAM PROJECT

Location
The Project is located on Satpara Nullah downstream of Satpara Lake which is about 6 Km south of Skardu Town.

Brief scope of the Project
The Project will generate 17.36 MW of hydropower, irrigate 15536 acres of lands and supply 3.1 million gallons daily drinking water to Skardu city.

Reason for Delay

* Delay in tendering decision.
* Blockade of KKH.
* Adverse climatic conditions - early start of snowfall & cold weather.
* Non-availability of proper machinery & equipment.
* Design updating / revision.
* Increase in qty due to change in design
* Problem in shipment of E&M equipment.
