The word count does not matter; the quality of your content does. I dont know why they write 2500-3000 words at the top of the paper, because it would be so hard to write an articulate essay in three hours with that much word count.
when you are writing your essay, please don't keep the word count in mind. 600-800 words are good enough for an effective essay.
