Hi. For Islamic Studies I would suggest Islam: Its meaning and message by Khurshid Ahmed and Hafiz Karim Dad’s book.

The first one will give you Islamic perspectives on different issues while the second one is a made for CSS book. The former can be used to develop ideas while the latter may be used for making notes.

This advice applies if you are taking Islamic Studies in English.
