"I opted for anthropology and cleared the exam. It's syllabus is to the point and has less theories and is overlapping with the contemporary issues as well. If you have opted for gender studies, town planning, criminology etc then you can interrelate it to those as well. Overall it doesn't require much effort and is easy to comprehend as well.
I don't have much knowledge of sociology so a relevant person may be able to guide you about it as well."
