The use of paragraphs would've helped greatly in reading the article. I've browsed through it and I have to say, despite all this "evidence" (which is nothing more than quoting Ahadith and then going around them and taking out tangential meanings), there is no evidence whatsoever that Eid-Maiad-un-Nabi sw as we know it today was ritually celebrated by either the Prophet sw himself, his companions, his family or the Khulafa-e-Rashideen.

The only evidence of the remembrance of the "birthday" from the texts comes from a Sahabi who asked Rasulullah sw how he should honor the birthday and he was told to fast. Street processions, distribution of sweets, beating of drums, playing music on the occasion, invoking the Prophet sw directly for help on that day, etc are all acts of shirk and bidah.

When Muslims came into contact with Christians, they felt "compelled" to celebrate the birthday of their prophet as well. The Fatamid Ismailis were the first to adopt this and then it spread elsewhere.

Lastly, it is more important to love Rasulullah sw sincerely and honestly by following his Sunnah Mubarak 365 days a year instead of beating drums, dancing and singing on his behalf for just 1 day and ignoring his message for the remaining 364 days.
