Default FATF Grey List: Pakistan’s Acid Test

Source: paradigmshift_pk

A short summary of the article:

Pakistan has once again failed to satisfy the Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) with regards to the actions it is taking against terror financing and money laundering.

The President of FATF announced that Pakistan is still on the grey list - and that it must complete the 3 remaining tasks (out of 27) by June 2021 for a successful review.

The problem is the lack of international support. Even allies like China, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and the Gulf States refused to back Pakistan in the arena. The only supporter was Turkey.

The questions then are: Why is India not under scrutiny despite the increasing evidence against it? And is the lack of international support a diplomatic failure?
