2. Meaning purposive education.

(Intending Aimful Education)




1- Introduction

Education is the birth right of each individual. Being literate an individual can understand how to lead his/her life properly as much as s/he is educated. Each life experience can render as much lessons to an individual as much s/he is lierate and is qualified with education.

Knowledge is power. And as much as a person is powerful with education, that much a person can benefit from his/her lifetime.

Moreover, destiny is better made through more and more purposive education. In the current hasty world it is the purposive education which can do the intended job for destiny makeup. An individual in the current hasty world can prove himself/herself beneficial for society only when s/he is educated with purposive education.


2- Domains Demanding Purposive Education

2.1- Contention and competence on the global level to secure more and more domination abroad without the regard of others, Inter-cultural contradictions and struggle for superiority, lack of global harmony, sustained massacres in the different areas of the globe, irresponsible citizenry, unlawful usage of authority over the earth, and the governments dealing affairs (both inland and outland) on the basis of personal benefits need purposive education.

2.2- The literacy rate among masses lagging behind and the public prosperity has the need of it. The purposive education needs to be free of cost and be funded for each individual. This will make each and every individual avail his/her birth right of education. Where then the crippling poor masses will be put on the bright track of life. The litracy rate will be enriched. And job market will be added capacity, skill, and potential.

2.3- Islamic civilizational values and needed unity of the muslim ummah needs purposive education. Both the Islamic education and secular education has the potential of restoring glory and beauty across the world - not just for the muslim states.

2.4- Hasty world needs it. Sicientific advancements rendering polrarized and hustled states needs it. Non-uniformity and lack of intellectuals need it. Lack of global fairness needs it. And over all organization across responsible for global uniformity need it for peace, progress, prosperity, and success.

2.5- Social disorders, peaceless humanity, domestic violence, and restoring morality needs it. Value-less and vice-ful masses need it. Unfairs governance needs it. Over all official policies and consitutional values to be brought in action need it.

Only a purposive education based on humane basis can find success over the aforesaid problems and alot more of the existing problems prevalant among humanity.


3- Flaws In The Current Trend Of Education

3.1- Human race in life and the trend of available education are not pace with pace. This hurried walk of the current hasty era based on certain availed skills as compared with the value of the available education, is keeping behind the quality of the current education. Scienctific improvements have made the life of people easy. However the comfort availed is jeopardizing the proper capacity and proper potential for work of the citizens based on the current trend of education for each aspirant. This gap is because of just focusing on the mental skills instead of practical skills. Also the scientific advancements have created worry in the hearts of people qualified with the current trend of education. More than focusing on the use of power and amassing superiority over abroad because of the careless use of hard power, humane lessons of the of qualification must be considered regardful. Such lessons lay beyond the limit of current common reading and comprehension ( of such readings).

3.2- Lack of needed intallectuals and lack of qualified social activists who can not repair the society and who can not raise the voice of masses to fight for the rights of the public respectively. The intellectual gaps we see in society because of the of uncertain well-versed intellectuals and the lack of it's uniformity among masses in the blunt life is the flaw most obvious.

3.3- Lack of character education, no facus on morality and unlearned lessons (for example if a moral story is taught to the students, they can not apply it's moral in their real life out of the school bag and paper of an exam at maximum) is the limit of student development at educational institutions. Character cerficate after passing a grade cannot accomplish the intended job. This flaw is another clearly visible drawback in the current trend of education. Also political campaigns and their dictums must be thrown out of the educational institutions.

3.4- Frequent closure of educational institutions due to different reasons like corona virus has spoiled educational rythm of the students. Poor time management is spoiling the productivity of the students. Because of which competence among the students is lagging behind. So talent has been tarnished of the students in the current sluggish educational institutions.

3.5- Less emphasis on the Islamic education, Islamic culture, and more compromise over it in the educational institutions. Which is the spoilage of kindness, respect for others, the enthusiasm of grace, the values of a good a citizen, fair cultural spirit, and the over all positive complexion build-up. As this is very much blatant in the current trend of education.


4- Reviewing Specifications Of The Current Trend Of Education

4.1- Education is never useless as it is power. The existing educational trend is also doing the same. It is giving power to the citizens. However what the debility in the current trend of education is in this regard that it is keeping the citizens limited and giving them limited power. For example the awareness about being a democratic citizen is kept limited. The authority holders are not making decisions on basis of social justice. Such authorities are not involving the citizens in decision making. As, currently, it is one way process. Another example I can cite here is that the current education is not enough just to have professional career to earn and eat. Different aspects of life are needed to be covered and their education need to be made part of the curriculum at the educational institutions.

4.2- Islamic cultural values (contradicting with western cultural values) are seen important and are taught at the educational institutions. We are living in muslim society and as much as we can avail Islamic education at secular educational institutions, we are availing. Moreover, It is very much obvious that in the Islamic world, modern islamic scholars are also produced on the other hand in the theological institutions.

4.3- Competent educators with well-equiped educational institutions are traditionally producing quality and talented aspirants to serve humanity, lead humanity, and save humanity. Different sectors of society are administered by these aspirants who collectcively work for social propsperity.

4.4- Scientific advancements are fast. However the lagging far behind societies more than availing benefit from such advancements are in potential allergic scare. And the reason behind this is just focus on the scientific advancements based on the mental skills of limited aspirants, excluding the rest of the citizens living unaware and unfamiliar even with the traces of such improvements and far running achievements.

4.5- Research assignments of higher education level is the peak of studies. Where the candidates work in their concerned fields of research. However there is still the need of more nature oriented faculties researching nature and research supervisors of the concerned fields. Demanded so by the fact that such researches are close ended and not open ended - to set a base for the future projects to pursue nature and make life known more and more.


5- Taking Actions To Promote Purposive Education

5.1- Pedagogy must be given more and more practice. It should be made part of the curriculum. With this innovation candidates will understand educational psychology. Understanding educational psychology will help the candidates avail purposive education. Who then can become expert and sophisticated citizens.

5.2- Character development must be given priority. Instead of punishing the students positive reinforcement must be given preference. Life lessons learned at the educational institutions must have factual effect on the mentality of the students. This sort of purposive education can later be resumed in the practical life of the moralistic and sophisticated citizens.

5.3- Teaching skills of leadership need to be involved in the curriculum for the educants. Such educants after learning the leadership skills at the educational institutions can find opportunities to become realistic guides and work for peace and harmony.

5.4- Teaching Interpersonal communication skills must be involved in the co-curriculor actvities at the educational institutions. Learning these skills will render society run on harmonious grounds. As everyone will be regarded an important citizen. Which in turn blend social justice in society where social evils and vices perish away. And the society will get enriched with social values.

5.5- More and more syllabus of Islamic education must be made part of the curriculum of the secular educational institutions. Which will advance the importance of Islamic culture among the students. This perfect culture in the especial faculty of theology if is researched properly according to the modern needs of society, it is going to make the perfect culture of Islam dominant (over other cultures), the unity of muslim ummah ensured, and will blend progress, prosperity, success, and happiness across the disturbed global society.


6- Future Prospects After Promoted Purposive Education

6.1- Systems like social system, economic system, political system, judicial system, etc running on fair terms and policies will ensure a new legacy of of success.

6.2- More than doing anew scientific research on the basis of secular education, if the research of the universe is done on the basis of the Devine Values of the Holy Quran. This Divine Book is going to give basis to such researches. Where the humanity is going to find it's enriched care, regard, and importance by the researcher. As such researches will not be on the basis of securing personal power. Such research will be open-ended and continuous anew chapters of knowledge will open upon the researchers and then citizens. As Islam ensures public rights that much equally as much the rights of God are given importance through submission to Him.

6.3- Citizens with more awareness about their rights will ensure their commitment to duties - more cherished. Each citizen will work with such commitment first for their genuine inner peace plus inner harmony and then for the outer peace plus outer harmony.

6.4- Leaders will come up with honesty. And their integrity will be the centre of problems solution for the public. Such leaders with clear minds will involve themselves more in the affairs of the public leaving no room for social complaints as will as domestic complaints. Each ciitizen and each household will be cherished and fostered for their rights by such leaders.

6.5- implementation of constitutional articles by such leaders will blow an anew spirit into the state machineries. This will make the state machineries operate on the due and needed grounds across the world.


7- Conclusion

Education is never useless. As it teaches lessons, gives power, and make better destiny. However the running pace of the current trend of education is not catering the needs and demands of the current modern era. Due to which "Meaning Purposive Education" is the utmost need of the global time. And such education can only be given pace in this hasty world if the life is considered worth-living.
