8. Pros and cons of globalization.




1. Introduction

Globalization has reduced the whole world to a global village, despite having the geographical boundaries between the countries. It is the electronic media which has summed up the entire world to a global village.

Electronic media has mixed the values of different cultures. And has developed some sort of a homogeneous culture called global culture, having selective values and vices from the different cultures. Which has made it difficult to distiguish a culture with it's known values and vices.


2. Globalization At A Glance Of Observation

2.1- Globalization is putting the world on a homogeneous pattern. This homogeneous pattern of life is mixing the different aspects of different cultures altogether. Where almost everyone is adding his share and/or taking his share.

2.2- Globalization has made the world hasty in development. Each country is striving for reputation. However all the countries are not alike in having the resources. Hence the gaps overlooked on the track of development are making the states hasty. Which needs time for recovery. And struggle from the concerned states to get equal with the international hour of modern era.

2.3- Globalization has taught us non-materialism. It has taught us very much less and very much limited materialism. These include customs, values, vices, traditions, and lifestyles. Which has changed the individual patterns of life, affecting one person and showing the result in changing the entire lifestyles around the globe.

2.4- Globalization has hypothetically squeezed and reduced the globe to almost a screen on your palm of a smartphone. While the result this globalization has in effect is very much strong and spread across the world.

2.5- Globalization is irreversible and the global public has adopted/adopting the lifestyles proposed and advertised by this globalization through the media. Almost all the people are in one direction. Only a few are noticing globalization with the eyes of observation over it and it's effects.


3. Pros Of Globalization

3.1- Globalization promote basically cultural competence between the west and east. It is actually the competition of these two cultures I.e. culture of Islam and culture of the western world. And such a culture will last long in between these two beating the other one which has no potential to address each aspect of the life of the global public. And such one is only the Islamic Culture And Islamic Civilization.

3.2- Globalization is serving the global public with economy and providing business/job opportunities to global public across the world from the same forum. Which circulates money across the globe , generating jobs opportunities, creating interest, eliminating poverty, declining the unemployment, motivating people for more education, and setting the life of the people across the world.

3.3- Because of the blessings of globalization different international organizations who work for the same goal, co-ordinate among themselve. And all such organizations collectivly realize outstanding results of prosperity for the global public.

3.4- Globalization is striving hard for maintaining peace and harmony. A common perception about the globalization is that it's mission is to prevail the western vulgar cultural values. However globalization is also doing the same from east towards the west.

Since globalization has found rythm and success, a lot has been changed. And global public is living with their respective cultural values. Hence more than the confrontation and contention between the cultures global public is living peacefully and with harmony in the global village.

3.5- Awareness in the global village because of the globalization is giving skeleton to the lifestyles across the world in reference with the international hour of the modern era. Hence we are in a global village.


4. Cons Of Globalization

4.1- Globalization is not mentioning the efficiency of international organizations created for the prosperity of the global public. This reality is kept sub-sided, as it strikes the reputation of such international organizations, public trust in'em, while also risking compromise over the running peace conditions of the global village.

4.2- Globalization is not focusing on the inhumane issues across the world. Globalization is purely claimed for economic concerns and cultural competence. Globalization which is based on the electronic media must get the inhumane issues on the screen.

4.3- More than focusing on the unwritten rules (introducing trends), mass media should also work on the basis of written rules. Such written rules will make globalization safe for the global public. Otherwise the globalization is on the way to bring disastrous changes in life of the global public - both on the individual level as well as society level.

4.4- Yet the globalization is still limited. It is not working for the peace and pleasure process of the humanity. Globalization either shares ideas to make use of leisure time, or then it does focus on economic concerns - not giving any attention to help remove violence and terror from the earth and replace it with peace and harmony.

4.5- Globalization is not giving attention to the starving people, not improving the glory of humanity, not promoting poor public to better life conditions, and not focusing on promoting access to the universal rights of the crippling and craving global public.


5. Some Analysis Of The Current Standard Of Globalization

5.1- Cons are for the better and we should take the cons (drawbacks) of globalization for improving the trends advertised through the mass media. As cons are always suggestive. The unsuccessful trends get deminished themselves, if they do not serve the global public. While the trends which adopt the course of customs, traditions, and finally values. Such trends are heartfelt, serve the global public, and later on serve to flourish the societies.

5.2- Cons are not the failures of globalization. These are it's weaknesses. Which need us to work over it. These cons are actually the milestones. Which need to be won over by the globalization. Bringing variations in the domain of globalization will incorporate all the cons successfully in itself, to work upon such cons to transform them in strengths.

5.3- The western vulgarity of women is unacceptable to most of the people who belong to the other cultures. Where the west claims the empowerment of women under the lable of feminism. However the actual empowerment of women is in the natural values of protecting her chastity from the bad eyes of the society. And not in advertising her body for selling its pleasure.

5.4- Globalization must put up on the screen all the injustices prevalant outside of the media screens. This will trigger different organizations to work with their action plans thoroughly. And because of globalization the dying humanity will breath safe some sort of because of the justice brought in realization by globalization.

5.5- If we have to entertain globalization with it's full fledge. We need to have responsible monitoring authorities. Despite the presence of such monitors we still face problems. These monitors must work with responsibility in order to have secure contents there in on the media. Which will keep the global village stress-proof and stress-free.


6. Promoting The Pros Of Globalization For The Future

6.1- Improved diplomacy of each state must be on the front page of globalization. Diplomatic measures will make the interacting countries secured and will manage the involved states to make diplomatic initiatives on the basis of peaceful terms.

6.2- To really realize the globle village on the basis of globalization some sort of improvements are needed also among the countries. Like easy visa process, brain drain must be respected, good service structure for abroad of the employees also, and alot of other courteous services should be introduced.

6.3- Globalization as it seems must be the cause of uniformity among the states around the world as it is claimed to ensure global village. Hence the world's states must be united to beat any injustice on the earth. Which seems impossible in the near future. However mass media has to reach this goal soon, as soon as possible.

6.4- Globalization must work on eradicating the social evils. Like illetracy, unemployment, poverty, domestic violence, and child abuse etc etc. Such efforts will be highly appreciated by the global public. And the globalization will catch anew rhythm of success.

6.5- Globalization must ensure global peace and global harmony for the global village. We are a part of this global village. And are living without peace and harmony. Globalization does not meet the criterion for the security concerns of the global village. However, here a minor positive move can make a huge difference. Hence each one of the global public must take part in this mission - to live with joy in peace and harmony.


7. Conclusion

Globalization in the running era is the specification of the modern era. Globalization has brought a lot of changes in the lifestyle of the global public. All of this global public share a homogeneous lifestyle. However the peace and harmony issues must be resolved with the especial help of globalization. No other sources can resolve the issue of peace and harmony for the global village, than globalization itself can do it.
