Manto was adversely affected by the hypocrisy and social ambivalence. His opponents denounced him as vulgar and filled cases againts his writings. Manto remained unaffected by these and continued his work on disco ering bitter truths of the society. To him
man was comprised of good and bad. He stressed that lower classes at the society also had same needs as other classes. He was aware of the increasing duality and was fakeness at different social levels. He raised these issues and discussed regarding vulgarity, but as an artist and without being obscene.
