I'm a student of Chartered Accountancy (CA) and I want to be a part of CSS. I'm planning to go for mathematics (either pure or applied) along with statistics from group 2. But I have no educational background relating to mathematics. So it would be totally new for me. That's why I'm asking for your valuable suggestions. Should I opt it?
I feel that you shouldn't go mathematics. The reason being the same is that you don't have a background in it. It will take a lot of time to cover a subject from scratch. Instead, you can opt for accounting and auditing from group 1. It is more in line with your scheme of studies.
